I’m kind of disappointed in myself that the Defunct Los Angeles Stars Basketball Team T-Shirt and I love this only reason I watched it for the first time several years ago was because I mentioned to a friend that I’m a fan of Queens of the Stone Age, and he told me about this funny movie where they have a cameo. The scene where he falls down the mountain, I couldn’t stop laughing for ten minutes. Which incidentally is about how long it takes him to fall. Top movie. The day after I finally got my wife to watch this movie last summer I rolled my ankle on a hike and somersaulted nearly off a cliff HotRod style in front of my kids. Like I was inches from a 40 ft fall into a lake. “I needed to think last night. So I galloped into a wooded glen, and after punch dancing out my rage and suffering an extremely long and very painful fall, I realized what has to be done.”

The plot of this movie is a man who puts on a charity stunt event for his step-father to get heart surgery so he can live long enough to kick his ass. My favourite movie of all time! When my sister is having a bad day I quote the Defunct Los Angeles Stars Basketball Team T-Shirt and I love this “too legit to quit” scene, hand gestures and all. Given a choice between deliberately weird or legitimately funny, I’d take the later any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Matt Damon talks about how goodwill hunting would never be made today because the lack of DVD sales on a 20 million dollar film breaks the financial model. I’ll bet it’s something similar here. I forgot about this movie! What a classic! Today’s society can’t handle these types of comedy anymore. Everything and anything is too offensive The scene where he has a hammer and is just hitting it on the bike to make it look like he knows anything is absolutely hilarious to me. Still quite the entire thing though Rico: GOD! I go to church every goddmn Sunday! You gonna bring the demons outta me? I’m freakin’ pumped! I been drinkin’ green tea all goddmn day! I worked at a movie theater when this came out.. I saw it, told my family.. we as a group saw it 2 or 3 times before it was quickly out of the cinema – we were basically the only ones going to it.. crying/can’t breath laughter in a theater to ourself lol. That is a great memory tbh
