Every post of mine people ignore half the DeAndre Hopkins Signature American football wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans Hoptimus Prime T-Shirt moreover I love this context and inject their own interpretation of what I posted purposefully to seek intelligent or to argue. My kid hardly eats anything and is completely fine. Kids tend to take what they need. If my kid eats sweet too much, we just make sure it isnt there. And then he will eat other stuff if he wants to. Waste, kids grow up hungry, they become parents who feed their kids, they don’t understand kids don’t eat that much and think they’re wasting their food/being ungrateful Personally, my mom increased my meal sizes based on my eating habits, so once we got to the point of me saying “im still hungry” she would increase the portions slowly I’ve never understood it either, growing up I was forced to eat food I didn’t like and it made me very picky. I even went to friends houses where their parents would force everyone to finish huge plates and being allergic to certain ingredients was a lie. (They got sued after I almost died). Kids are smaller and don’t need to eat as much l. If your kid doesn’t finish dinner then put it in Tupperware in the fridge-they’ ll eat it after their stomach settles or tomorrow. Beef stroganoff made me horribly sick once. My dad made me sleep at the dinner table because I refused to eat it ever again. He tried to make me eat the plate left out all night next to me for breakfast. Surprise, I didn’t eat it. When I came home and it was dinner time, my siblings ate McDonald’s and I got… leftover hamburger helper beef stroganoff. I didn’t eat it and he finally threw it away. So many instances like this, and it’s no wonder I had an eating disorder as a young adult, and still have major food control problems.

My brother wouldn’t eat carrots as a kid. My mom called them tarrocs and gave him a few steamed pieces. He loved them. Psychology can be delicious. Simple rule I grew up with and so has my offspring. You put it on your plate (by yourself) you eat it. And if it takes hours so be it. Food is limited and someone else would’ve liked to have it. If I plate then it’s on me. That’s the DeAndre Hopkins Signature American football wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans Hoptimus Prime T-Shirt moreover I love this rule in principle. In reality I’m softer than my parents and we have enough food for everyone to get full so I’ll huff and puff and push for a bite or two (ohhh too full for ice-cream?) and that’s about it. When our daughter was six, she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. We could never use food as a reward or punishment. Because, at the time, meals had to be planned hours in advance, she was involved in all the food choices, including amounts. If for some reason, she didn’t want to eat the already agreed-upon food, an alternative had to be selected and prepared. No arguments, no drama, no punishments.
