Just got back from a lovely walk in the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this sun, that involved going through one of the royal parks. It’s great to finally have some daylight and stronger sun. At one point I was walking through the park and suddenly a large Doberman came bounding at me, barking as it approached me. I was petrified and taken a back as the owner laughed. I then shouted at the owner to take their dog away from me and was cursing from the shock of it as it was very peaceful and this dog came out of nowhere. But the truth is that I was petrified, this dog was massive and was running at me and barking at me. It could’ve bit me or knocked me over. This is not the first time I have had dogs come over to me. Often small dogs will come up to me and run around me when I am walking through these parks. There was also an Alsatian that brushed past me as its owner threw a ball. Again, not super nice as this was out of the blue. It truly baffles me that people can’t seem to grasp that others are weary of their (strange) dogs. It is quite worrying and concerning that owners do not grab their dogs when they approach strangers.Yes when I saw the title I thought it was going to be a complaint about people who take their dogs on runs with them (which I’ve never seen a particular issue with), and maybe that OP thought the dogs looked a bit knackered or something As the owner of a dog who can’t be let off the lead and doesn’t like to be approached by other dogs after twice being attacked by off lead dogs, I empathise. Just today we went to a supposedly dogs-on-lead-only park, and ours was the only one on the lead. A lot of dog owners are ignorant, thick as pig shit, or a combination of.

David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt: best trending this year

My dog is similar, really nervous now. Those off lead dogs are often accompanied by a shout of ‘dont worry he’s friendly!’. Like, that’s really not the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this point? Mine isn’t, call your bloody dog back and if it doesn’t come immediately it should never have been off. I had one woman who’s dog wouldn’t leave mine alone say if he’s dangerous he shouldn’t be out. Firstly, he’s not aggressive he’s scared. Secondly, all dogs are potentially dangerous that’s why I’ve made sure I’ve got full control of mine, unlike you. Ugh. Dog owners just often feel like rules aren’t really for them since they’re dog is great. E.g. dog lead rules in parks, or no dogs sign in shops obviously mean “carry your dog” instead Ropemakers Field in Limehouse very unusually has a dog specific area but there are always owners in the children specific area which has signs saying no dogs.
Change dog owners to cyclists, drivers, joggers, lorry drivers, whatever. A good percentage of humans are idiots. Same it really drives me insane. I’m not in London but people let their dogs free in my city in teeny tiny parks which are basically just a patch of grass in the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this middle of a street. I’m the one who ends up having to turn back because they decide that they own the bloody place. Both times my dog has been attacked, it’s actually been in the street – where dogs 100% should be on lead no matter what. The first time I kicked the attacking dog in the head and we got away unscathed. The second time my dog had a chunk taken out of his back and incurred over £3k in vet fees. I took the other owner to small claims court and have had a CCJ awarded in my favour, but it was hassle I didn’t want or need.

About David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt

Thanks to some hard work and the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this involvement of a behaviourist my dog’s getting his confidence back slowly, but our progress can be set back if he’s run up to by another dog. Means we live next to Regent’s Park but hardly get to enjoy it these days as it’s too stressful for the dog. Really sorry to hear about these attacks. Were they in regent park? Thinking of taking my dog there but now unsure. No funnily enough he’s never actually been attacked in the park, we just avoid it due to there being lots of off-lead dogs and their presence stresses him out even if they are well behaved. The first attack happened on the bridge that goes over the railway line, between Chalk Farm and Primrose Hill. The second attack happened down on Regent’s Canal, the bit near the zoo. The canal walk used to be one of my favourites but we can’t do it any more as it doesn’t afford my dog enough space from other dogs
Really sorry to hear that. I hope he’s doing better now. Always dreamt of taking my dog for a walk on the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this canal and to Regent’s Park but will avoid I think. Share your frustration with dogs invading personal spaces friendly or not ! When I worked with the council we would try and stop and educate such dog owners they would film us, verbally abuse us, try and get their dogs to bite us. It wasn’t pleasant. When we called for police they would than run away. Very frustrating. the only thing that works is police enforcement. Make it a criminal offence to not leash your dog in public. Proper prison sentences. Problem will be solved in no time Meh it’s so difficult to get police to attend they are busy enough. The dog owners act like victims and try and make us look like bully’s. I left that job in the end.
We do but so many friends joined and left saying even they couldn’t cope with the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this amount of abuse they got. I don’t blame them for not wanting to do the job. It shocked me finding out how many XL bullies there are in the UK. But prison sentences are wildly disproportionate in most cases and the police are equally under resourced so have to prioritise. If you aren’t happy about this either, remember in May, and again in November or whenever your MP will next be asking for your vote , how much central government has cut local authority funding over the last decade. Yep, would rather council/park officers were given the power to issue on the spot fines of £250 or something if the dog breached existing laws (which in most parks and green areas means being out of control or failing to leash the dog when instructed by a parks official rather than simply be offleash). Standard of proof should be set at the testimony of the issuing officer and a witness, so it’s only done when it annoys people. Love dogs, have a dog and bloody hate dogs off the lead and their idiotic owners. Few weeks ago we were walking through a field and this massive dog came running at us and immediately attacked our dog. Kept attacking him as my partner picked him up. Whilst we were checking where our dog was bleeding from this absolute cunt of a woman just ran away. Literally legged it for the woods and was out of our sight. I wanted to hunt her down but we were atleast an hour away from home and our dog was shaking so we went home. I still hope I’ll see her again because her quick reaction only means this wasn’t the first time and probably won’t be the last.
I don’t mind off lead dogs as long as the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this owners are able to recall them and the dogs actually know how to socialise (gently approach and wait for consent to approach) rather than come charging at you and your dog (play or aggressive). I love dogs but some are genuinely aggressive and some people are not a fan of dogs. It’s not fair to force our dogs onto others (people or dogs). We stopped going to our local park because the dogs are such a problem. You can’t escape them. They are usually poorly trained, and the owners are arseholes. The final straw was when a dog ran over and decided to use my wife’s book as a chew toy. The owner seemed perplexed as to why we were pissed off, and apparently, the dog was just playing around, and it’s just what they do. The number of them I’ve seen off the lead at Richmond Park as well when there are signs everywhere telling you not to do so because of the deer. People are idiots.
Dogs can be off lead in Richmond park for 9 months of the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this year. It’s only May-July when they’re supposed to be on leads. I lived near Richmond Park and was well aware of the seasons! Even when they’re allowed off lead you have to be very careful about running into areas with deer, and there are cars going through parts of it as well. Where I am now there’s a lot of Heather and ground nesting birds, so there are many routes I don’t/can’t take the dog out to March-August. I was playing jumpers for goalposts football in Battersea park with my daughter and a dog bounded up, grabbed my jumper and ran off shaking it. I followed it, failing to get my jumper back, to it’s owner who was sat on a bench 100 yards away, on her phone. She looked genuinely shocked when I politely suggested that if she couldn’t be sure her dog wouldn’t eat random people’s clothes perhaps it should be on a lead.
Never feel guilty about confronting the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this owner of an obnoxious or aggressive dog. You are in the right to do this. Saw some poor bloke have a large labradoodle type thing jump up at him with teeth bared going from his arm. He swore and was obviously annoyed. The owner had the audacity to get angry at him for ‘walking too close to her dog’. Love it’s 5pm, on a Thursday, at London bridge fucking station. Everyone is going to be there walking close to your dog! I don’t hate dogs but I had the entitlement of some dog owners. I go for a run at this park and just so many time random dogs just run up to me and there owners are no where to be seen. I’m 6’2 dude so I’m not like I have a fear of them (well if it’s not a rottweiler or XL Bully), but some dog was going absolutely crazy (growling and barking, looked like it was protecting its territory lol) at me today for like a couple minutes while I stretched and it just super unpleasant. Since all the dog attacks recently I’m more wary of turning my back on them.
I get dogs have to be let off the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this lead and allowed to run around, but how much it seems to be the owner walking and just like expecting the dog to follow them while the dog actually goes really far away is really common. Today I saw the same guy I’ve seen before (rich, early 40s, lives on the most expensive street in London – Hamilton Terrace) with an American Bully dog – and now he also has an American Bully puppy. Neither of them muzzled. I saw him going into his house so I know where he lives. I am not going to let this lie. Those dogs are fùcking scary and they are stronger than him. There are small children on this street all the time, and people walking other small and peaceful dogs. This guy is such an àsshole, telling me his dogs are really friendly, wouldn’t hurt a fly, etc. The classic story. 80% of dog owners act responsibly with their dogs and I feel safe. The other 20% it blows my mind that they are allowed to keep dogs. Either they haven’t trained the dogs , so they jump on you or they keep barking at you. I know it’s a small minority but it really irritates me.
Unfortunately too many people have dogs who have not been trained properly as well as the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this owners not having any idea how to make sure the public isn’t bothered by their dog. I have two and whilst I think they’re well trained I make sure to avoid situations where it gets people involved….like paying attention when out & about, not throwing a ball in the same direction as people are etc. Of course there’s always a risk of unexpected situations but so far (touch wood) in 14 years owning my Labrador and 5 with my sprocker nothing has happened…..oh and there are a lot of entitled idiots out there as well! Dog lover and owner who believes one of the responsibilities of having a dog is properly training them. On our daily walks (never off leash unless we’re hiking in the middle of no-where) we encounter many off-leash dogs running here and there frightening people and causing chaos.
This morning while walking our dogs we witnessed what looked to be a large lab cross off leash knock a toddler and his mum over while chasing a stick thrown by his owner. The owner ran up to the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this clearly upset woman and crying child and laughing made a half hearted apology for his “overly stimulated” pet. The woman screamed some choice words at him, turned and left. He was clearly insulted and acted as if he had been wronged! I had a row with a little old lady last year in Ravenscourt Park. Her dog bounded up and put its face into my baby’s pram. I yanked it by the collar. She said ‘he wouldn’t hurt your baby’. To which I responded ‘no, I would break his neck before he could’. She was an idiot. Also( beside biting), as a germaphobe people in my family hate when we see dogs licking peoples faces after they lick their bums. I was confused by your post till I realized you meant “run riot.” “Run ragged” means something completely different.
Or even the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this fact there are people that do like dogs, but still don’t like it when strange dogs jump up and bark at them. I like dogs, but I get very nervous when one runs over and barks/jumps at me as I’ve never really spent much time around dogs in general. Thankfully most of the ones I encounter round here are on lead or very well trained. a lot of people who don’t like dogs need to come to terms with the fact that dogs exist and a lot of people have them and love them, and surprisingly you will find them at parks. But its the duty of a responsible owner to control their dog in public spaces. ‘Control’ isn’t assuming that everyone loves your dog as much as you do. i agree, it is with the owner to ensure their dog doesnt jump up at strangers or if they are off lead have good recall and aren’t going to run up to people. however, some of these comments are acting as though dogs shouldn’t be allowed to run around in parks or be in public spaces at all.
Because they shouldn’t be, dogs must be on a leash at all times in public spaces unless in a designated area for dogs I don’t have a dog as I am a cat person, but that’s actually not true, at least according to the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this Blue Cross. There is no blanket law and there are regional PSPOs set by each local council that defines where dogs must be on a lead. i didnt say they shouldnt be, but i think its fine to let well trained dogs off the lead in large fields in parks. Are you saying it’s illegal to be off the lead in public spaces unless designated or are you saying that you don’t think they should be? TIL it’s actually not a legal requirement, just depends on the public space in particular. I do think it should be the case though, and that’s coming from a family with multiple dogs. Because their dog would never hurt anyone. He’s just friendly! Even when something does happen, those owners are just so shocked that Mr Fluffy could behave in such a way, they never saw it coming. I don’t blame you for your reaction, I would have done the same. You don’t know if that dog is friendly or not until they snap at you or don’t. Even if someone genuinely thinks their dog would never be aggressive to another person or dog… can they say the same about every other dog? Then you’ve got the dogs that are stolen because their breed is considered high value. I saw what looked like a pure bred pug puppy being walked yesterday and while he was very sweet, I could have picked him up with one hand and done a runner before his owner looked up from his phone. Just to be pedantic that’s not really how to use ragged in a sentence. The way you have used it would imply you are complaining people are over exercising your dogs to a level of distress.
As to your point dogs are in parks, they’re the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this only place in a city you can exercise a dog. If you really don’t like dogs it’s probably best to just avoid larger parks. i had this the other day but it was an xl bully type thing and a small women who couldn’t handle it, thankfully she managed to get a lead on it before it attacked me or my dog. It’s the old, “love me, love my dog” attitude. I hate being approached by dogs I don’t know and most dog owners think that everyone is in love with their dog. I have 2 kids, whom I love, but there’s no way that it’s acceptable to let them jump all over strangers and if they did, I’d be there to correct that behaviour in an instant. The worst were the several times I’ve had picnics at Primrose Hill and have had dogs either come up and literally eat the food off my plate (or come close to it) or one dog literally started attacking my then toddler – and they owner couldn’t control it. It’s absolutely ridiculous and I have no idea when this ever became acceptable.
I don’t generally have an issue with it. Most dogs bark and run around – the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this vast majority of the time this doesn’t translate into aggression. Don’t really see a problem here unless it’s a banned breed or a very large dog around young children. Parks are also the only place in the city they can be off a lead. There are far more dangerous people around to roam free around London… Even when dogs are on a leash, their owners should keep the leash tight when they walk past people. Countless times, I have had to jump over the leash between the dog and their owners. It’s just simple courtesy and being thoughtful of your surroundings. Dog walkers are not alone in the world. Really, dogs should be kept in a small cage with wheels on the bottom and then wheeled around. That way we can avoid even the slightest inconvenience offered by them
As a dog owner myself, my dog is super happy and well behaved. When I’m public with people around, it’s on tight leash. No need to be sarcastic. Courtesy and correctness is not too much asked Dog owner here. How many parks have areas designated for dogs? I thought the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this outside was the animal kingdom. We chose to domesticate them and place them in the home? Yes it would be great to have all dogs on a lead at all times. But actually dogs have a lot of energy they need to exert. If they don’t they can become aggressive. So in a park, an open space this is the perfect place to do so. I appreciate that people are afraid and I’m finding as more of these stories are released about dog attacks the more fearful people seem to be of them. I can for one say I enjoy seeing my dog and other dogs running and roaming freely. I do think good recall is essential but sometimes distractions prevent dogs from doing so immediately.
I have received lots of hateful comments due to my opinion. It’s a situation that you weren’t prepared for, oops. Hopefully in the David Wright and Pete Alonso 242 Career Home Runs signature shirt Besides,I will do this future this won’t happen again. Maybe all the people here that don’t like dogs in the one place they’re actually allowed to be maybe you could petition for dog sections in parks or more dog parks this might help… Could help to redirect where they go so you can roam the parks freely undisturbed. Great comment. Growing up in the semi-countryside it’s insane to me how many people in this thread believe dogs shouldn’t be allowed off the lead in parks. Dogs that can’t run around and expend energy will get depressed and behave badly. Yes, owners should be able to control their dogs properly, but ordering that dogs must be leashed at all times would result in a miserable existence for the dog.
