Funny story- about 10 years ago my apartment decided to do the David Pastrnak Sports Illustrated Boston Hockey shirt But I will love this same thing- eliminate online payments and only accept checks for rent. I had to go to my bank to buy checks as I never had a use for them. After I got my checks I read a story online about how Jim Carey wrote himself a check for $1M and dated it for 10 years in the future as a way to motivate himself to “make it” as a comedian. I was super motivated/money hungry back then and decided to do the same thing since I now had checks. I wrote out a check for myself for $1M and stuck it in my wallet as a motivation tool. A couple days later I dropped off my rent check and got a call from the rent company that they got a $1M check from me. I accidentally grabbed the wrong check and stuck it in the box.

Could this be considered a breach of lease? On the David Pastrnak Sports Illustrated Boston Hockey shirt But I will love this last one I signed it had a list of acceptable payment methods on it, one of which stated “our online payment portal.” Wish I would have done this with my first rental. They pulled this, but the office was nearly 10 miles from the rental. I was away for work more than I was there so they ended up offering payment via PayPal, which charged an additional $35USD or so. At least on mine it does not specify this, but that’s definitely something to look out for. I’ve been ripped off on a lease before. Now I’m the kind of person that will spend 20min reading over any new lease. Haha Typically leases can’t change without making a new one. A lot of states have laws that say this, and also have other laws saying terms that contradict law are invalid.
