No, you’re being completely irrational. Society is complex and there are no machiavellian villains lurking in the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this shadows of every problem. If anything, the only enemy is the state functionaries who rather line their own pockets than actually make a change as is their duty. Turn your anger on politicians, not your imaginary enemy. I’m pretty sure they’re criticizing the fact that billionaires and many rich people actively take more than they want or need as they’re exploiting the rest of the world and achieve levels of wealth they shouldn’t have. I’m not going to complain about a businessman running a few meters outside my house but I’m going to shit on the rich crony that just built a factory in our neighborhood.
Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt: best style for you
I’m also going to complain why the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this fat fuck lawyer who works for a corrupt politician gets to hoard food at a time when prices are too high while my friends have to starve now. Point is, there’s an imbalance and someone did it on purpose. that’s not true actually we do NEED rest and break. our brains cannot handle constant active workload and neither can our muscles. Being alive isn’t living life. Needs are born from wants. I need to eat because I want to not die, not because I need to. Hence, it is a load of bullshit when someone other than God tells you what you need, and worse, obstructs you from going beyond their arbitrary vision of your life. There is no God. Now what? Look at Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. It’s intrinsic human behavior to strive for the next level of that pyramid.
Your point being? Be there a God or not, my comment stands, only that if there is no God, there is no one who can determine what I need. That’s what omniscience is. A body that doesn’t rest doesn’t recover well, and its immune system drops so they get sick more, which lowers their productivity and strains the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this health system more. A person who doesn’t lower their accumulated stress starts having issues sleeping, digestion, and interacting with society as irritability increases. Leading to various things like violence or even suicide. All of these various things lead to negative outcomes for society and lowers life expectancy. Ie, they are needs in their own right. Being alive isn’t living life. Needs are born from wants. I need to eat because I want to not die, not because I need to. Hence, it is a load of bullshit when someone other than God tells you what you need, and worse, obstructs you from going beyond their arbitrary vision of your life. No. By pursuing what I want, am I stopping others from fulfilling their needs? There’s only two options for every case, so then how come OP treats it as if it were only one option? That’s pure ignorance, ie, a load of bullshit. When other people prosper, we prosper. Capitalism is constantly finding ways to fight that, so that some people can prosper, but not everyone. It’s the profit motive. Just consider this: if you can make more money, or you can make someone’s life a little better. What do you choose? 95% choose the former. A good example of the latter is Arizona Ice Tea company. They have sold their products for 99¢ for the last 30 years. Could they have increased their prices, maybe to keep up with inflation? Sure. But they don’t, because they don’t need to. Now look at companies like Apple, that take 30% of all revenue flowing through the Apple app store. 30% of what other people and companies produce, gets syphoned off. Apple controls a large part of the mobile market. In your words, they desire to make more money. Homework: should we let them continue this practice? Why or why not?

About Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt
Economy’s work best when money flows. Capitalism seeks to take, not to give. It’s why wages and salaries stagnate. It’s why recessions exist. When profits dip, wages dip. Why do we need profits? Why can’t everyone see the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this full value from their labor? I have an economics degree, here is my take on this. Stores are open then there is a marginal benefit to be open. That means the cost of being open (wages, lights, heating ect) is less than the money that make. That’s why stores aren’t often open at 3am. You’d have to pay workers more to be willing to show up at 3 and you would get few customers, so the store would lose money by being open at that time. So clever business are only open when it’s profitable. So saying stores should be open 18 hours a day, when it’s unlikely there will be a marginal benefit to being open more then 9 means stores will lose money. On top of that the shifts would probably look something like 4am-10am, 10am-4pm, 4pm-10pm. While the 10-4 shift seems sweet the other two look a little rough. And many people don’t want a part time job with shitty hours. Plus no one is going to the store at 4am
Business would likely be best around the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this midday shift which would also be when you have the most workers as there’d be two active shifts during that time, but everyone would have sufficient time to get their personal business done. This feels like the most logical way to apply the shifts, definitely. Overlap certainly helps it make more sense, where the people on early shift can go shopping after work, late shift before work, and midday really whenever they want, and those who don’t work would likely come around midday as well, like you say. And a 12 hour day is certainly more manageable. That being said the 6 hour shifts mean there’s a fair bit of leeway. Someone working until 9 pm could very reasonably be up and about at 9 am, someone working at 9 AM could still be up and about at 9 PM. You’re assuming a 100% employment rate AND that all of those people are in service positions. You also don’t consider breaks, lunches, and people just being chill about doing something rq when there isn’t a lot going on at work. Assuming all of this is downright ludicrous
I don’t have to assume even half those things – it’s a fair assumption breaks are too short to go shopping. People not in employment won’t concentrate at that time, they’ll be more evenly spread throughout the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this day (and probably avoid the busy periods. Manufacturing jobs also require people to be working when they’re on shift, etc. However, the whole thing is premised on a silly thought experiment that wouldn’t work because it makes no economic sense. No need to get your knickers in a knot over some simplifications. Thing is. This already happens in cases where it makes sense. But also it doesn’t solve the issue originally presented. 6-12 shift was about 3 people, they covered set up and early customers (1 on counter, 1 in kitchen, 1 floater). The store i worked in had maybe 90 employees total, and made a fair chunk of change. They held the record in my country for most drive thru orders in 1 hour, at 126 or something (again, about 15 years ago).
You could do this in an office, but it would be more difficult in manufacturing, where there is a lot of tooling and equipment that can’t double up for the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this middle shift, and would be wasteful to leave idle for 13 12 hours per day. …where they’re already running three 8hr shifts in many cases to keep things cranking 24 hrs a day. Honestly I think the biggest conceit to this idea is that one plan fits all work situations. Yeah. The OP plan seems aimed at retail/service jobs. But manufacturing is an entirely different situation, as is many office or business to business jobs. B2B your ‘customers’ are other businesses that are meeting or calling during their business hours so it’s absolutely not an issue that you are only open during “normal business hours” since that is when they are working and want to contact you also. Although workers in all types of jobs do need to get things done for their personal life so having direct retail and service open outside “normal business hours” is needed. Of course, those types of direct to consumer places- grocery stores, retail shopping, restaurants- typically are open on weekends and open until later hours, like 9pm or 10pm. It only seems to be a few sectors that deal with personal consumers that want to only be open during core business hours such that people have to take off work to get things taken care of. Government and medical being the main culprits.
I don’t see the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this issue… If you can’t have two shifts working simultaneously then your company only offers early and late shift jobs. Oh so you refer to nightshifts then? I still fail to see how they pose an issue for the day 3 shift system. Early night 21-3, late night 3-9 both alligning reasonably with other business shifts. Commute may be an issue but that’s already the case with night shifts in many places. That’s a fair point. It’s just that each caveat moves a bit further from the idealized system described in the OP. I mean as far as workers are concerned night shifts are anything but ideal one way or another. In some cases however they are simply a necessity, or like in your case a question of efficiency, the burden of which can be alleviated with higher hourly wages on nightshifts.
Why start at 6am? A lot of people are around quite early and might need to go grab stuff on the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this way to the gym/before work. Why stay open until 10pm? A lot of people work late or go out to dinner, go to the gym, see a show after work and want to be able to browse on the way home. I might have a skewed view because I work in London, but I always used to go to the gym 6:45am and things were already busy at that time of day. On days when I worked late I’d often want to go in to a shop at I went past only to realise it was already closed. You really want to know what patterns are like for the area around your shop. Are you near a gym? Are you in a quiet village? Do you have a lot of shift workers near you?
Obviously 4am on a work night is probably not the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this best time to be open, but I know some places that still did pretty brisk trade at 9-10pm. As someone who is in IT rather than economics, I would say it’s more about the need for work, but I would take the liberty of breaking it down a bit to give you something to go on. Let’s start with the obvious: More free time and time when a working person can walk to the store is certainly irrefutable. Then, perhaps the harder question: will there be more work? I’d rewrite it to more possible jobs. If we look at it without regard to money: more free time may or may not lead to the need for convenience services (masseur, cook,…) but more importantly, more people will be able to work in the same position. 3 people will do as much work as one does today. So again, probably obvious but probably true that the number of jobs would go up.
The real question the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this OP has is probably then: is it fundable? In terms of money, probably not, but I can say that enough jobs will continue to be simplified by machines and we probably won’t invent many new ones. And I’m not just talking about those jobs at risk, I’m not just talking about farmers, factory people, or workers, but also programmers (like me), painters, actors,…. I don’t have the numbers handy, but I know I’ve read that we spend a lot more time working on average with low individual productivity in the US, while many other nations work fewer hours on average but have higher individual productivity in general… so in theory it should work out if you pay people for fewer hours and get higher productivity returns, then you can produce more output and have additional funds to hire more people. My parents could afford 3 kids and a house on one salary, whereas we struggle to afford a house and 2 dogs on two salaries.
And tech has only improved since. I would know, I am one of the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this people building software to help people get more work done or even to automate a bunch of tasks. It’s entirely possible to work half as much as we currently do, because one generation ago, they could already do better than that. I’m not sure on the tech point, I read something recently where the jist of it was that new customer facing tech is basically shifting the work of sorting out an issue away from the provider to the customer which lowers the customer’s productivity whilst getting rid of provider employees. So for example, back in the day (TM lol) you could phone up a bank and ask an employee to sort an issue for you. Now you call a bank, press 47 buttons, puts you on hold for a hour whilst telling you that everyone else gets answers from the website.
Same thing with every single IT desk, I’ve actually had to sit through presentations on service now where they explicitly and proudly state that the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this point in the set up is to try and divert people away from submitting a ticket and onto an FAQ which I for one have never found able to actually help. Anyway, the end result is the same, a provider uses new technology to pass work from itself onto their customers and reduce their own headcount and therefore costs. This means you’ve more unemployment (or you’re shifting jobs away from dealing with people’s problems into something else) and service users have to dedicate more time to addressing issues which lowers their own productivity too. Maybe one day the technology will actually improve (e.g. with LLMs) so the promise of technology actually helping customers works but right now it doesn’t seem to make things more efficient for anyone other than a providers shareholders! That’s a great example of companies shifting work onto customers. They’re also creating extra work only to squeeze profits from workers and customers alike while reducing their services.
There’s plenty of different ways they’re using tech against us, when it could have been used to improve our living standards (aside for giving us tech in our daily lives). Huh, this is the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this first time I’ve come across this kind of view and it’s fascinating to see. I’ve never thought of this kind of delegation as being more efficient. Then again I’m socially awkward so I tend to take options where I can figure things out with a website/system on my own because not having to bother anyone is a perceived upside Oh I believe it… unfortunately the problem isn’t easily fixed with science or math since it’s rooted in culture and emotion with people bragging about their “grindset”, and lil old office marms who complain about people who finish their work going home early despite having everything in order… That mindset wasn’t engineered by workers (mostly). At some point people will realize and reach critical mass, and things will change.
Employers need unemployment to be able to bargain lower salaries and make profit. It could happen in an ideal economic system but that’s just not how capitalism works. Or how logic works. many shops will be empty for hours every day, it’s a waste of resources. Those that have a market for a 18-24 hour day are generally already operating those times. Chances that a lot of people would end up working two shifts cause why not? Double the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this income, spend like money is gonna rot cause it might! Driving the inflation up cause now ur buying power went up ! And soon everyone will need to work two shifts out of necessity instead of choice, cause everything is so damn expensive! True, that’s why the economy shouldn’t be run like neo-liberism mandates but should instead be used to better allocate the resources to all those who need them. Like with an UBI.
That being said, I work in my family. Wife, kids…they visit stores during the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this day and do their thing. So to me that’s the real value of stores being open as they are. If you split it up throughout the day it might be better to get someone like me into a store….but I don’t want to go to the store in the first place. As it is now it’s more convenient for the folks with a day off or that don’t work to visit at their convenience instead of sporadic more rushed hours of the day/night. I had a job with this exact schedule, tbh for me the free time was just as much because those extra 2h were just my commute. Although it made shopping/appointments so much easier to do when your shift started at 1:30 pm Banks are a perfect example of this problem generally being open 9-5 when most people work, yet always get surprised at there being a lunch rush as it’s the only time many people can even go when they have free time or need an actual person. Where if their hours were shifted or expanded this pressure can be entirely removed and load spread across other times. Mobile banking has been extremely helpful, but it doesn’t solve everything.
Also if 10 and 12 hour shifts are seen as these magical fixes what’s wrong with 6? Most people are only productive about 3 hours of work so 6 makes more logical sense to improve efficiency. I feel like a more manageable approach is a 4-10 system rather than a 5-8. You still get 40 hours a week working 10 hours a day for 4 days and you’re guaranteed that one day off will be a weekday. Everyone would have one weekday to take care of anything that they need taken care of, as opposed to a 5-8 where if you’re lucky your days off include one weekday Nah. We really need to start moving away from the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this 40 hr work week. Society needs to set a plan to go to 36 hr, then 30, 24, 15…whatever…over a series of years. Automation and AI are making human labor less and less needed. Governments have been managing the issue so far by reducing the number of humans in the labor pool. Child labor laws, compulsory schooling, college funding, college for all, lowering mandatory retirement age. But it can only go so far. If we turn around some day and suddenly a bunch of people are out of work and not needed, and society was till set up on a 40hr a week system, it’s going to be massive shock and create huge social turmoil to adjust. If we gradually ease into it things will go much easier.
The dangerous part is- people tend to think very linearly. But technological improvement moves exponentially. The advancements you think are decades or a century away, might happen in years. People make the Damn Right I Am a Lions Fan Win or Lose Players shirt In addition,I will do this analogy about motor vehicles replacing horses and how ferriers and stable boys retrained as mechanics and gas station attendants. But we need to realize that this time we are the horses. Why not just do it in 2 shifts instead of 3 and have both be ~6 hours. Like 8am-2pm and 2pm-8pm if everything was opened from at least 8am to 8pm there would always be time to get anything you needed. Would also be pretty nice since the work life balance could be better and it could be more flexible with people working 4,5,6,or 7 days a week total depending on the hours they’d want to accrue. Also imagine getting off of work at 2pm or 8pm both options sound MUCH better than 5pm
