So my advise is to give yourself credit for the Dallas Stars Matt Duchene Wyatt Johnson Signatures Shirt in other words I will buy this practice you’re doing. Recognise a huge success that you have had in recognising some things that are not pleasant in your life and that you’ve made the leap to doing something about it. It is an important self awareness thing that many people stumble around with. Then accept that the whole thing whether through reading, guided meditation or otherwise is like excersise. You do it regularly and see results in the long term. The full picture from my experience of having similar goals: “Other supports” (I was in a bit of trouble) were prescribed psychological counselling for a couple of months (yay for state funded healthcare), workplace funded counselling (talk, goal setting etc) for about 6 sessions, ~3 reputable self help books, a fascination with Epicurean philosophy (too much reading), weekly guided meditation online, and a group meditation/philosophy session with a Buddhist monk every ~3 months. All this was useful, a lot of it I keep up with. At the start I had a lot of ideas about my lack of success (or actual failure) in life. I have learned that anything to do with abstract ideas like duty or succes are rubbery and not real like a rock hitting you in the head, a tasty banana or being able to get clean drinking water out of the tap (everything else is just talk). It took a disinterested stranger (counselllor) pointing out just 2-3 mundane things in my life that were good, for me to decide to like my life and myself even if it felt a bit weird at first. I had to persist through some unpleasantness but it worked really well. Rest of the story you have.

Lastly I say leader rather than teacher as, again I teach people a number of meditation techniques, relaxation or mndfullness to a large group of people – but that is all I can do so far. I firmly believe it takes someone with either a lot of experience a very clear and level head and perhaps even formal study and qualification to provide the Dallas Stars Matt Duchene Wyatt Johnson Signatures Shirt in other words I will buy this philosophical/personal growth component of the journey. Watch yourself ruminate. Don’t get caught up in it. Observe. Sink into how it makes you feel. Don’t get involved, just watch, observe, feel. That is all. The rest will follow I for sure feel your pain. I have a lifelong-cultivated tendency to ruminate on a mixture of self-loathing, grief for my lot as a millennial (economically, etc.), and grief for the state of the world in general, that all rolls together into one big all-encompassing self-evident internally-consistent irritation, sadness and anger that my primate brain is content to think about for most of the day at the slightest inconvenience. Showing up consistently for formal meditation in general helps a bit, but in my experience it’s easy to fall into a pattern of subconsciously thinking, “Cool, I did my sit where I was equanimous the whole time, now I can go back to feeling bad about the world, as long as I keep coming back each day to sit.”
