Londoners think being “antisocial Londoner” is their personality type – when actually making eye contact and talking to strangers can be really nice. BUT I got a dog 6 months ago and have made more friends and talked to more people than I had in the past 5 years, and (Londoners hate this) actually talking to people and being friendly has done wonders for my mental health and comfort living here. There’s no heart to London, literally and figuratively. Well, it is a collection of villages. But European cities usually have a heart. London just doesn’t.
