1,780 more repliesI (32F) flew first class for the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this first time today. I sat on the first row. I noticed that the flight attendant skipped me when serving drinks twice. The first time she skipped me, served others around me and then circled back; the second time she didn’t serve me at all—she served everyone else in first class… then with 20 minutes left in the flight she asked me “Oh did you want anything to drink?”. At that point I just told her no. She literally took the drink order of the person in the same row as me (I had the aisle seat, he had the window) but skipped me.User avatar I fly American business class regularly and the only time I’ve seen them go out of order is if someone isn’t in their seat when they are doing drink orders. They usually go row by row and take window seat then aisle seat orders. It sounds like you just got a bad flight attendant. Yeah I thought that’s what it would be but for some reason it wasn’t. I just called customer service to ask if there was a different order they go by but they just confirmed that it should have been the way you described
D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt: best style for you
It’s annoying because you don’t want to make a fuss but especially for the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this cost of business/first, you’d expect some level of service minimum. Mine was a dumb thing where they offered everyone else a drink and the little nuts and cheese. I got skipped. And when I asked I was pretty condescendingly told they were out of nuts and cheese (which I doubt but whatever). And when I asked for a glass of whatever sparkling wine they had – I was pretty again condescendingly told I would need to be more specific and if I needed more time, they would come back when I was ready (there was only one type of sparkling wine available). Another passenger across the aisle got skipped for dinner service. And when he asked – a different FA told him also pretty condescendingly to “please be patient – not everyone has been served yet”. They never came back until he called again after most of us had already finished eating. And 1) annoyingly kept asking him to repeat himself and speak up before he even finished a sentence – even though his English was accented but obviously understandable and I could hear him clearly across the aisle and 2) made a tiny quip that annoyed me of “well if you’re ready for your meal now” as if he had been sleeping during service and hadn’t specifically asked earlier and 3) only had one option still available.
Honestly meant to send an email to customer service after – but had cooled down by the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this time I got home and honestly, forgot until now. Never too late. We must all stand up for one another, its a service industry, and obviously not everyone is cut out for it. Just never be rude to them either, but when you get home whip out that sharp pen , i do believe the Airline cares! Have you complained? When I had an issue in first class (different airline to be fair) they flipped out and were definitely more keen to compensate. Lufthansa isn’t much better but I hear you. Singapore and Emirates are so good. I’d put Virgin Atlantic in the same category. Edit aferre reading some other responses from op sounds like flight attendant a b*thx and possibly racist I’m so sorry you experienced this op definitely report them it’s unacceptable on all counts Yeah I’m a United 1k and I often fly first; the hostesses usually serve the high status flyers (Global Service, 1K) first, then down the ranks of frequent flyers (Platinum, Gold, Silver) then normal non status but revenue first class, then non-revenue first class. I’ve noticed this and it doesn’t happen all the time but I’d say maybe 60% of the flights I’m on. Yeah when that happens you need to speak up. Say something like “excuse me, you may have inadvertently skipped me, I would like …….” Thanks, I will. Hopefully I don’t have to deal with it multiple times, but I know what to do if it ever happens again now
About D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt
That stinks! Sorry your first class experience was less than that. I’ve seen your responses and can’t think of a reason for it so I guess, next time speak up, which you shouldn’t have to but whatever. A very weird thing that always happens to me, no matter where I’m seated, is that when the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this FA go around picking empty cups etc., they always skip me. I have to reach out and practically stick in the trash bag. I travel a lot (United 1k) and in First Class, United always takes peoples orders in the order of their status. Air travel in general is a very status-based system with some people being treated much better than others, but it’s got nothing to do with how you look, and everything to do with how much business you are giving the airline. Is that normal though? I fly first class or business plus with delta often and I’m not that high of status and I’ve never been passed over? That seems like a really inefficient way for the FA’s to provide service. I understand the reasoning, if they have to stop service at any time they’ve already served the highest tier. But it just doesn’t seem like a good plan.
They do this in the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this back too sometimes. My SO is 1K and we regularly grab last minute tickets for his job. So to get to sit together we will sit in the back. They regularly come back and ask if we need anything and thank him for being 1k. You can speak up, and say I would like ….. I have flown first class a few times and I have never had this happen unless I was asleep. It should not matter how you are there, you are so you should get the same service. I’ve only ever been skipped when I was distracted/accidentally avoided eye contact. Any chance that when she interrupted your conversation, you looked down or away and she could’ve taken that to mean you didn’t want anything? By not saying anything when you had direct eye contact with her, that’s signal enough for some to move on. You could have also used your call button to get her back.
It’s always ok to say “Excuse me, I’d like a drink please”. You don’t have to mention that she skipped you or make it awkward at all. The way I wrote that may have been confusing. It wasn’t an awkward stare off and there’s no way I looked like I wanted to be left alone. I wish I could have had the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this situation on video so that I could better explain and ppl could see for themselves, but all I can say is that I promise you I didn’t have the facial expression of a person who didn’t want to be serviced ETA: actually there’s no way she could have thought that bc otherwise she wouldn’t have said “oh did you want anything to drink” I think she was simply expecting you to give her your drink order when you made eye contact with her since she had taken the order of the person next to you so you knew what she was there for. Usually people start talking once they have made eye contact with the flight attendant if they are doing service and it’s your turn. Hard to explain but the timing was not long enough for me to open my mouth before she asked everyone else for their order. I don’t know why I specifically would need to interject an order when she went out of her way to ask everyone else “can I get you anything to drink?” I fly business/first class on American regularly and I’ve never failed to get my drink if I wanted one so I don’t know what broke down in the process for you. Speaking up when the flight attendant is servicing your row is not interjecting. They are human and sometimes they make mistakes. Maybe they were having a bad day and lost track, who knows. Don’t take it personally.
did you have earbuds in or headphones on where maybe you didn’t hear her? I have seen flight attendants skip over people when they have their headphones on or earbuds in Not at all, me and the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this person I was sitting next to were talking to one another. She stopped the convo, asked for his order, then skipped me But in any case, it shouldn’t be so noticeable by you. If you felt you were “left out”, then my guess this is one of those shit tier airline. Like BA. I think every now and then something like happens : once I was deliberately ignored by the bartender at Polaris lounge. There was nobody else at the bar. Nothing happened. I just wanted a glass of wine and fucking Polaris in EWR keeps all alcohol behind the bar – it needs to be served by a human. The bartender just kept cleaning glasses and restocking and walking back and forth until he succeeded in driving me crazy and out of the lounge. On Alaska I’ve seen back to front in 1st class and for breakfast usually only a few choices. Mine was gone when she asked me, but was apologetic and went the extra mile to get me something I would enjoy. Always speak up especially if they skip. In 1st class you’re paying for those extras. In full transparency it was because I wasn’t sure why it happened and I didn’t want to look stupid or embarrass myself for not knowing if that’s just how things were I have never heard of them going out of order when taking drink orders. You just got skipped for whatever reason.
Were you SA? If so, they will serve revenue customers first and give them first options of what they are serving for meals. I haven’t flown on a pass in over 20 years, so that might have changed. Sorry. Space Available. It’s the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this term for employees and family members flying on an employee’s pass flying for 0.00 or a low percentage of the cost of the flight. The flight attendants know who’s flying on a pass. If you are lucky enough to get first, they’ll usually check in with you and let you know that they’ll serve you as best as then can. It’s typically fairly well. Not sure why you were skipped if you had purchased the ticket. I agree with most sane people here, you were wronged (Going off your responses at face value). I wouldn’t accept that in economy, let alone 1st. I would 100% let the airline know. I have never seen anyone get skipped in first class unless they clearly were asleep. I fly Alaska Airlines almost exclusively and only have upgraded on others a couple of times.
American Airlines, which I’ve always flown nearly 95% of the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this time, but this was my first time flying first class. Disheartening because I’m not sure why she did it and I don’t want to jump to conclusions You probably don’t know the flight attendants name, but I would write the Airline a strongly worded email or letter, explaining how it made you feel and be sure to mention you found the experance completely unacceptable, and wonder if you should have just booked a coach seat, they will find her and remind her , that her job is to make every passenger comfortable AND apriciated This is spot on. My husband just asked me how I feel, and I’m trying not to be pathetic but I just feel a bit burned. Several thoughts run through my head: The answer is no to all of these questions because at the end of the day, you are a customer. You are a paying customer, and you paid for service you did not receive. You are entitled to the service you paid for. It does sound like you got a bad attendant, unfortunately. It doesn’t make sense why they would service everyone except you, but whatever the “reason”, it is a failing on their part.
I’m sorry, but I gotta ask ! Are you a member of the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this minority community? I ask cause I am, and I have noticed slight slights over my lifetime and am left wondering. Yes, I’m African American. I know what you mean. I was hoping maybe there was something I didn’t understand today, but the more I see that this isn’t normal, the more I question if my ethnicity had anything to do with it I was going to comment asking what the person above you did. I have had multiple Black friends get horrible treatment in first class, especially Black women. It unfortunately usually boils down to straight up racism (+sexism/fatphobia/classism depending on your intersections). Oof. That was my question as well. I’m white, but have on occasion perceived black folks in first and business classes as being treated slightly less-than by flight attendants.
Never so much that I felt like I should speak up without making it more uncomfortable for the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this passenger in question, but I’ve noticed a difference in tone, body language and attentiveness. What the flight attendant did was disgusting. I would definitely file a complaint with the airline and go as far as to post your story on Twitter. Definitely write to the Airline, seems like the attendant has issues, please understand that she won’t get fired for one complaint, but it will establish , in her work record and as others also complain as I an sure she will diss others , the Airline cares very much about their first class passengers, 50% of an Airlines profits come from their first class passengers. That individual does not belong in any position of service! Please write and include as good a description of her physical description, as you can remember in addition to your flight number and reservation information, be sure to mention that you are left wondering if you really shouldn’t just have flown coach. I’m really sorry this happened to you. Based upon your description of events there is absolutely no AA policy/guideline that justifies the treatment (lack of service) you received. The FA was the problem.
Not that I know of. I flew 1st class for the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this first time this past November, from BOS to LGW, on Aer Lingus. We had champagne before we left the gate, and it was dinnertime about an hour after departure. It was basically bottomless wine or beer the entire flight. I had to wave-off the refills after a couple, and drink some water. Overall mine was an amazing, comfortable, luxurious experience on Aer Lingus, with excellent service. Did you have an economy ticket and get bumped up to first class because they ran out of room in the back? Still no excuse to ignore you like that. Definitely not okay that that happened to you! But I’ve also seen it where pilots or crew deadheading to their next stop sitting in first class if space is available. So maybe she thought you worked for the airline? Even still very odd to strait up skip you Yeah it’s weird. Can’t imagine how I looked like a member of crew, I wasn’t dressed any different from pretty much any other customer’s dress code on the plane.
I should have been. I think I was embarrassed to ask just in case I just didn’t understand the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this way something worked. By the end of the situation, I realized it just insulting I don’t think you did anything wrong. The first time it happened you probably thought it was a mistake. You deserved better. I’m truly sorry this happened. Thank you, I appreciate it. I get why people would question why I didn’t do xyz (and if I had been a frequent first class flyer and knew how this all goes, I absolutely would have asked), but when it’s your first time you just aren’t sure what’s going on As woman as soon as we’re assertive we’re b***hes. Sometimes we just go with the flow. You didn’t get the treatment you paid for. I hope the airline does right by you 🙂
It depends on the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this flight attendants, I think. Sometimes they go front to back, but they also do tend to pay special attention to those with status. I am 1K with United, and even sitting several rows back I am usually greeted and offered my first choice of meal, etc., before other passengers If you’re woman in business class, and sitting next to a guy of anywhere near similar age, they will occasionally assume you’re together, and I”m wondering if that’s what happened here. I’ve only flown delta first class (never American Airlines) I am no means rich wouldn’t even consider myself middle class, but I do save extra money to fly first class because it’s a way to treat myself, I also don’t fly often. However I’ve never experienced anything like this. I would’ve politely said something on the flight when flight attendant came back and just asked for what I wanted. I’ve even been sleeping and they would gently wake me and ask if I wanted anything. I wouldn’t complain this time because maybe they were having a bad day and shit happens, but if it happened again I would definitely file a complaint. Should never happen especially when spending extra money to be there that was rude. they usually go by order, unless you were in the loo or something, in which case she oughta have noticed you had returned and asked you.
I don’t know about American but I’ve actually told 1K at untied that it’s sort of a problem. They recognize me and serve me and walk away from my wife who is gold. Circle back later. Before one says well just order her thing, trust me that’s not the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this point in your spouse’s eyes. Or mine, frankly. If I’m traveling with my wife, serve us both. There is absolutely no reason in the world she would’ve taken exception to you “just because”, so yes almost certainly on the basis of loyalty levels, then fare levels. Edit: Reading further just discovered why. Absolutely no justifiable reason for her to take exception to you. Report her This happened to me..they thought i was staff travelling on a staff ticket so ignored me. Until i pointed out to the CSM that i was asked to swap seats at check in….
There should absolutely not be a reason that you don’t get service unless you were wearing earbuds or looked like you didn’t want to be served. That staff was rude and you should have called it out. Order of service is by row, ladies first on each row. It should not matter if you were an upgrade or not a frequent flyer, staff should not be rude to passengers. Is that really a thing in the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this US? Whenever I’ve flown in Europe, both economy and business, they always serve from window to aisle for each row. I’ve certainly never seen ladies first! I’ve experienced being served insanely late (as in last on the plane on a A380 business class floor) despite being in the first row because I was a points redemption. So it’s not unheard of. But your case sounds more like a mistake or them going out of their way.
American Airlines customer service is all over the D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this place. Sometimes they are just rude even in international business class (and I’m white well dressed middle aged guy). But complain to AA by writing (they have a form on the website) and you might get some free loyalty bonus points in return. At least you get to say what you want to say to them. FA manifests do indicate who is a loyalty member, especially those with status, even if it’s lowly (like me as a Silver on United, despite my Galactic Services tag on my laptop case.) I also tend to bring presents of appreciation – nothing major or expensive but something as a token of appreciation. I generally do the hand-off after the first service on my way to the lav. (Usually sealed unscented lip balms.) I’m a very kind person and did all of the above with the exception of bringing a gift. Never heard of bringing an FA a gift
Or you could have just said “I’ll have a gin and tonic please.” She probably just thought since you didn’t say anything you didn’t want anything Very odd. Was she/he plain looking and you are beautiful/handsome? One reason to put you down You should have been treated equally. I always fly first class but don’t get excited it’s only cause I like pampering myself when I go on vacation which is only once a year or so so I don’t do it very often. In any event whenever there are drinks to be served when I have flown they just go row by row. Did you happen to fly first class because there was no room in economy D.I.L.F. damn I love freedom Eagle 2025 shirt Besides,I will do this and they put you up there? That may explain something I don’t know about American Airlines, but I have flew first class on some other airlines. It is “First” class, they shouldn’t treat you like this. Try to file a complaint.
