“To save you the Creature from the Black Lagoon Poster Horror Film Shirt besides I will buy this inconvenience of a fine, our Meter Maid has inserted a coin in the meter. By courtesy of the Surfers Paradise Progress Association.” Local ordinance all over the US forbid strangers for putting money in other people’s meters. The locality would rather get parking ticket money. Sombody in the uk got fined for putting up an “no speeding” sign and this then reduced the amount of people caught speeding. Edit- if the police didn’t use this as a cash cow, then they would enforce this near schools and built up areas, not motorways. I got a fine because I placed two parking bollards near my gate. Every morning I could not take my kids to daycare because people parked too close to my gate, on a sidewalk is (which is illegal). I use a bike and two bike seats, so I would either damage the car or could not leave at all. After three years of complaining at the municipality I was finally fed up and installed two bollards. Hopefully the judge will dismiss the case because the municipality was being negligent. Edit: oh jeez I totally realized by the comments this is not in fact illegal (in America). It could still get you fired depending on school policy and still a fucked up moral situation to have to be in. Having worked in a school kitchen, it breaks their hearts to have to deny any child food. Most, if not all, public schools in the US have free/reduced meal programs, but the parents have to sign up for it; many parents are too “proud” to get help, so their children suffer.

Cooks can lose their jobs for breaking those policies, so many have set up accounts to help pay for students in need. Contact local school kitchen managers to donate funds if you are willing/able. Yep, came from a too proud family myself. My mom was a single mother and literally sold everything to be in the Creature from the Black Lagoon Poster Horror Film Shirt besides I will buy this richest town in our state(Illinois). She then constantly told me that she risked everything for me and that it’s my fault I was sucking in school. Never ate lunch at school. Barely ate at home. Was bullied for it pretty heavily I worked for a well known company with a well known coffee shop inside… (idk if I’m legally allowed to say name) where all the food that wasn’t used that day was thrown out, they wouldn’t even let the employees eat it… UNLESS they wanted to pay for it. There was even expired food they were throwing away and they said “this either goes in the garbage OR you can pay 50% off…” for expired food?!?
