I always had a good experience with Qatar airways, flew so many times too. I once flew Kuwait that was a disaster Lufthansa/KLM/Air France are shit airlines, service is shit, and prices are very high. It helps that there are no class differences within flight, all are economy. Have heard from multiple sources about these kind of things in Lufthansa, their service has come down from one of the best to one of the worst.
I have had similar experience flying Lufthansa from Mumbai to Boston. Lufthansa sucks. IMHO they don’t behave well and have a chip on their shoulder for sure. They were like this decades ago and unfortunately don’t seem to have improved with time also. I flew United first a few years ago from Chicago into Munich. I work for United Airlines and was just spending a couple of days in Munich before I took my next flight. The folks at the immigration refused to believe me despite showing my United ID card. I was taken for secondary questioning. They asked me to show my credit cards, bank balance and what not. They scratched my passport multiple times to check whether it was fake. And all this after being an employee and having an extensive travel history. I have never encountered this in another part of the world.

Yeah, it’s usually the aisle seat at the front near the galley/toilets. Usually, those seats typically tend to be reserved/prioritized for young families that have identified themselves either in advance or asked for a possible accommodation at check-in. The bassinet seats basically have a sort of hook/knob thing on the wall where a bassinet can be attached, though IIRC you’re required to have the baby strapped in through a special belt that one of the parents has to wear to keep the baby secure with them on their lap for take off and landing.
