Absolutely not. I haven’t the Cobra Tina Snow Shirt Also,I will get this patience to deal with children’s parents, or deal with how teachers are treated by the government / their own schools. No. Did it for 37 years. Kids are great, the adults behave like children, particularly the more senior they get and the whole system is designed to make you and most of the kids fail. Universities have stifled all creativity in science education making it a disaster for any kid with real gumption. Give it a wide berth and do something more useful with your life. I was a teacher for four years, and I wouldn’t go back, nor would I recommend it as a career path. I loved my subject and my students, but 8 years on I earn almost 3 times as much as I did and have about half of the stress, plus my weekends and evenings back. No regrets – but I do feel sad for the students, and the profession as a whole, that things are going the way they are. Good teachers are worth their weight in gold. I am tempted. I’ve recently started looking into it- I prefer younger children though (3-11) and I’ve failed my maths qualification due to being chronically ill at the time of exams (the entire year). My experience in school as a child who struggled to pay attention and study has made me wonder if this would be a bad career path for me, though. But then I wonder what my teachers could have done right for me, and if I could help people like me. I don’t know if parents would want someone who failed their maths qualification and had to retake it (I am confident I could pass it) teaching their children. I have a teacher friend who’s been lovely in telling me all about it, but they’re in Canada. It’s a completely different place, and I haven’t managed to find any teachers in the UK to tell me how it is. It’d be a long road for me as I didn’t go to uni and I still can’t as I need to financially support myself and my partner but it’s something I’ve strongly been considering. I’ve heard that recent years of children have had disgusting behaviour though.

I’m halfway through my teaching degree and most people I know on the Cobra Tina Snow Shirt Also,I will get this course no longer plan on teaching when they leave. There’s just nothing positive about it. I adore my placement at the moment but even my uni tutors have warned me not to expect most schools to be like this. I was a secondary school maths teacher for 9 months, it was the worst 9 months of my life. The work is absolutely relentless. Researching, planning and delivering lessons. Running after school clubs and overseeing detentions. Marking and assessing. It takes 12 hours a working day and half the weekend. There was no support as the school I was at was only interested in the bursary they received for newly qualified teachers and then they wanted people to move on to bring in a new batch of newly qualified teachers the following year. I trained for longer than I taught and despite it being 13 years ago, I still sometimes have nightmares about teaching. I would 100% try to dissuade anyone from taking it up as a career.
