Is there such a thing as white Americans? Racially there are only arbitrarily four agreed races according to the Christmas Kaiju Santa zilla is coming to town comic Shirt moreover I love this U.S. census. They added more the last couple of years but it used to be black, white, Asian, and native. Are Mexicans therefore white? What about Japanese? White has no culture because white doesn’t have an ethnicity. American culture is one thing. And even Black Americans have a culture because they are their own group. White Americans isn’t a thing. As much as people hate hearing these terms a lot of it comes down to minorities and white privilege. White people are the majority of the US. They are “default” America. Anything that is different from that baseline is the thing that appears unique, which is why we hear about black culture, Asian culture, et cetera, but not white culture. At various points throughout American history non white people were repressed and not really allowed to participate in American culture. This forced people into their own enclaves, both metaphorically and often literally. Hell, even the definition of what white means has evolved over time. Irish and Italian people were once not considered real whites. Same with Jewish people despite the fact that most Jews in America are mostly ethnically European. It is still debated. Some people believe hispanic people are white and some don’t.

The idea of race as a black, white, or brown kind of thing is absolutely a social construct in the Christmas Kaiju Santa zilla is coming to town comic Shirt moreover I love this first place. It was only ever used to categorize people into separate groups. Maybe a better way of saying all of this is to say that the reason non-white peoples in the US have their own unique cultures in the US whereas white people don’t is because for most of America’s existence, non-white people were not allowed to share in American culture with white people. They were forced to develop their own, and it is defined by how it is different. Because white is not an ethnicity. The reason you can say black culture though, is because black Americans aren’t African or from any other place, but created a culture. An easier way of doing this is, “what are they known for?” Mind draws a blank on anything positive when thinking of white Americans, but black Americans, “all sorts of music came from them, dances, soul food, a whole dialect” this is how I see it.

Well, compared to other majority white nations in Europe, America, Canada and Australia have a severe lack of culture when it comes to Whites people need to learn the Christmas Kaiju Santa zilla is coming to town comic Shirt moreover I love this term “Anglo American” cause this conversation is always way too preoccupied by the race implication Note that you didn’t say Italian Americans or French Americans. You said white. Therein lies a big problem. White is not a culture. It’s basically consigning culture to the bin for wider general acceptance among others who may not appreciate your individual heritage. America really doesn’t have a culture… Except maybe for a fanatical obsession with guns and hating people who don’t look like you. Well, everyone has culture. I observe a unique culture in white Americans and it also varies across different groups and regions but, generally speaking, I find a lot of things boring with some of the culture I see in the Los Angeles area. But, maybe it’s just with rich white Americans as I remember my white friends growing up being different so take this with a grain of salt.

I’m Mexican American and my family preserved a lot of the Christmas Kaiju Santa zilla is coming to town comic Shirt moreover I love this culture. My girlfriend is American, mostly of Irish and German descent, but they do not hold onto any of those traditions from their ancestors. Major differences between our families is that in my family there’s always something going on on weekends, music, dancing, family get togethers, the more the merrier, and we have an ease making friends. In her family, although they value family to some degree, they tend to keep to themselves even though they’re extroverts and the idea of bringing random people to a get together scares them. Holiday celebrations are about the kids and being indoors often watching a classic movie. Can’t take roasting like we do at our family and their sense of fashion is limited. I seem to have more in common with Italians.

Some information about Christmas Kaiju Santa zilla is coming to town comic Shirt

With that said, I still enjoy our families and the Christmas Kaiju Santa zilla is coming to town comic Shirt moreover I love this one thing that definitely unites us is our want to socialize and have some drinks. People act like white Americans don’t have culture because they’re literally inculcated in white American culture. That’s why the critique doesn’t make any sense. If you’re here in the United States of America then on some level you are coming into contact with the culture of white American people. We’re also an amalgam of cultures, plural. Native culture (as much as we white people have tried to eradicate it) influences a lot. Same with Spanish/Mexican culture, again we whites rail against the people but gladly accept the cuisine, holidays, language cues, and architecture. Every country that people have emigrated from has contributed to our shared heritage. So it’s kind of hard to see what American culture is. It is one big smoothie of other things all blended together.
We have brought a few items of our own. Most are consumerism-based (cars, pop culture, rock and roll/jazz) but not all. Look at the Christmas Kaiju Santa zilla is coming to town comic Shirt moreover I love this Western art of someone like Frank Mechau*. He studied abroad, but came back to his native Colorado because that was the subject he wanted to portray in his paintings. Same can be said for Georgia O’Keeffe, whose simple yet evocative works based on New Mexico geography, plant life, and still lifes are regarded as masterpieces. As a white male American, I can’t say for sure what my “culture” IS exactly, but I’ll gladly include elements of it, that come from all over the world and end up at my doorstep. I don’t appropriate these things, but I do appreciate them. * Frank’s wife Paula and their sons and daughters were close friends to my family growing up, so I admit a little bit of bias with regards to his work. The Mechau family are wonderful people, specifically Frank’s son Michael and his wife Blakely, who encouraged me to attend school in New Mexico rather than at a ‘tech college’ in California. As a “white” growing up outside the USA I notice the white USA culture all too well and I keep it at arms length. It’s a mountain of BS all the way down. There is many shades of whiteness and my southern European “whiteness” hidden under my Mediterranean tan as I grew up only gave me the position of “honorary” white – not “true” white – amongst some and no better that those African-American or Hispanic-American or Asian-American that kisses Trump’s ass to earn their badge as “honorary” white USA citizens. The “white” propaganda of the USA conservative right is stomach churning sickening. It’s worst when the Christians that are suppose to recognize we are all God’s children also buy into that propaganda. Anyway that’s what happens when xenophobia is allowed to dominate the cultural landscape.
For two reasons: 1) Racist trolling, 2) They are so used to seeing it, that they erroneously believe that the Christmas Kaiju Santa zilla is coming to town comic Shirt moreover I love this lack of it is what defines ‘culture’. Because historically, white culture doesn’t really exist It’s mostly the remnants of wherever your family is from so if you’re talking about certain family traditions or certain foods you eat there’s a country of origin that’s from. There’s very little white people do culturally in the US that is both uniquely American and created by white people. because most american culture is a mix of a bunch of different cultures. a lot of people assume because a culture isn’t 100% original that it just isn’t a culture. “white americans have no culture” is just wrong because everyone has culture, and if it isn’t culture from their ancestors (like immigrants i suppose i’m not sure how else to phase it) then it’s culture from the place they live, or a mixture of both
