They’re tough, they move mostly at night and they’re not easy to kill. Good IR Night vision equipment required along with a very accurate rifle.

I could go on I looked into it and shooting an average-sized hog would give more meat than I have fridge space. And my close family, and friends that might be interested. I have to shoot one of those fuckers and not get hurt by any of its friends. I’ve shot guns enough to know that this part is harder than some people would imagine and that I’m not good at it. I have to get that meat back to where my family is, which, as we’ve previously established, is not where I am now. We hunted wild hogs growing up. I used a semi-automatic rifle chambered in .223. Very effective. They can get nasty though, those hogs. They have tusks that can tear you wide open. So definitely a large detachable magazine. I went on my first hog hunt a couple years ago. I asked if we could keep some meat and the guys looked at me weird and were like “uhhh if we find a nice one I guess”. They’re disgusting animals and carry all sorts of diseases and parasites. They’re better off feeding 50 different scavenger animals. Can confirm that the meat even from a young wild hog is not what most people are going to like. It has a very strong flavor. It’s not the kind of meat you can just slice up for a ham sandwich.
