Lame not to want to drink? I am sure there are numerous things someone around you does and you would not consider following suit. Do you think you have to impress people by “also drinking”? My father used to say: “If your class mate jumps off the Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong classic shirt in contrast I will get this roof, would you?”. “Killing time”? To live a shorter time? Maybe find another group of mates/friends and something you truly enjoy doing instead of hanging with losers. 54 here. I didn’t drink until a few years ago, when my son turned 21. For a while, he and I used to have a whiskey and a cigar Friday nights, basically to bond and reflect on the week. We’ve stopped doing that, so now I’m back to not drinking at all. I would say if you don’t want to start, don’t start. I did 15 years in the military and didn’t drink, that’s about as big of a drinking culture as you’ll ever find. All I got was respect, and designated driver duty A. LOT. It’s terrible for you and extremely addictive. I don’t drink and I actively encourage people not to. So here it is.. please don’t. Please don’t drink at all. Anyone who gives you a hard time about this is an idiot and you don’t need that in your life.

Alcohol leads to dehydration and one drink stays in your system for 2 hours, also sleep is horrible you can’t reach REM sleep either, people wake up in the Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong classic shirt in contrast I will get this Middle of the night a lot, and the dreaded beer belly is a real thing cause your body absorbs the alcohol first, I dunno do what you want it is fun It’s just stupid, if someone thinks you are lame for wanting to experience life without drowning yourself in floor cleaners, then it’s their problem. You do you kid. are you sure you actually want to drink, or are you only doing this to fit in? why only do something to fit in when you can decide whether you want to do it for yourself, what you want to do? In middle and high school I was the drummer in a punk band. all of my friends drank and did drugs at all the parties. I never drank or did anything. I had plenty of fun without it. I had more fun messing with the drunk / high people. Point is. You don’t need to. Do ( or don’t do) what you want.
