I interrupted two people trying to set a pub on fire early in the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this morning once and someone I worked with at the time, went to the pub, told them it was him and got a free drink. A few years back I was in Ibiza, having a few beers during the day. This was when you could hear music every where, it’s not like that now. There was about 8 of us, and I was talking about the music, I said that Ibiza has its own heartbeat, and that is what the music represents. My mum used to do it, if it were a particularly interesting or funny anecdote. We just went along with it and laughed. I once told a work colleague about a NSFW situation involving me preparing a spicy romantic meal for my girlfriend using fresh chillies and then the not so romantic after party because I couldn’t get all the Chilli off my hands.

Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt: Embrace Your Uniqueness

He’ll do more than look you in the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this eye but actively prompt you to agree and chip in on the story. I genuinely also think he starts to believe his own story. Sometimes I’ll tell someone something and later they think that it was their memory or thought. I wonder whether they are the kind of people stage hypnotists would find particularly suggestible? My sisters are identical twins and if I’m telling one of them a piece of news or giving an update I’ll get déjà vu like feelings and I have to clarify whether I’ve already told them or the other twin lol This reminds me of the first episode of Fifteen Storeys High where Vince retells his colleague’s story of meeting the Wombles on Jim’ll Fix it. My ex-wife does this. I pulled her up on it, and she stopped. Well, she stopped doing it in front of me I later found out. Not me, but one of my housemates. He’d told a story to us that he’d read online, about some guy in the US charged with statutory rape, who was able to prove he believed the girl to be over 18 by having photographed the fake ID he’d shown. One of the other people around was a girl who was already known for being an outrageous liar, and a couple of weeks later she was telling the same story to me and my housemate, only this time it was her brother. We honestly couldn’t tell if she’d forgotten who told her that story or if she just didn’t care. I just muttered ‘how odd that that happened to you AND my mum…’ as I sipped my beer and absolutely did not cause a scene because stiff upper lip
I knew a girl back when I was at uni (we weren’t really friends) who stole a story she’d heard from me literally a couple of days beforehand and told everyone in the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this pub it had happened to her, I couldn’t believe it. It was too specific to be a coincidence too, it was about growing up believing that there are no white lines on country roads because sheep ate them. My Dad used to do that. He would embellish a bit, then forget where he heard the story. I once had to stop him midway through a tale and remind him that I had told him that story a few months earlier. I went to university with a very peculiar girl who lacked social skills and had mad Dolores Umbridge vibes (like saccharin sweet with a bit of dead-behind-the-eyes going on). We were all sat in a kitchen in one of the halls chatting and I told a story about how my mum was told by her grandad that there were no white lines on country roads because the sheep ate them. She only questioned the veracity of this information as she was repeating it to a car full of her mates as they drove to a country pub as young people (Lolz). Not two days later I was sat in a group in a pub with Dolores and a few others, when she starts to regale the crowd with this hilarious story about how she was told as a child that there were no white lines…. And repeated my anecdote verbatim, only subbing in herself as the main character. She even made eye contact with me and didn’t break stride. I didn’t know what to do. It was the oddest situation!

I was in the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this pub with friends once and one of them said there were no white lines on country roads because sheep ate them. She had literally heard me tell the story days before! I remember once right, fella jumped off the top diving board, then someone jumped off the middle board, they both landed on the spring board and went back up to the top board. At least you can top her stolen anecdote with this tale about the stolen anecdote. Unless of course this is itself is a stolen tale about a plagiarised anecdote, in which case someone will have to mention that the whole thing was ripped off from Reddit. A few jobs ago, I used to come into work on a Monday and tell people the story of what happened to me at the weekend. I used to go to a lot of parties and get myself into amusing situations.
My old boss tells these at company events but now he is promoted to the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this main character, and I’m demoted to an imbecile. He retains the vague outline of what happened, but because he wasn’t there for it, he makes up the rest. I’ve watched the evolution of these stories over the years, and now they’re just ridiculous things that could never have happened, but I’m still implicated in the imaginary events as I’m in the story. I actually used the phrase “You’ve stolen my gimp story” to a uni housemate as he was telling the exact same story I’d told to the exact same group of people a couple of weeks before. A Scottish bloke comes over to me and asks if we sold under water bulbs. I ask him to elaborate, like do you want them to put in a fish tank or ponnd or summat. He kept saying no and repeating “under water bulbs”. Long story short after much confusion, it transpired that he was asking for 100 watt(er) bulbs. luckily he saw the funny side. I told a particular coworker about it and shared a laugh.
Fast forward to about 2 years ago, said ex colleague who I remained friends with told me this story, with him as the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this main character. Yes, and I’ve stolen them too, but only when doing tour guide type work. It’s good to work funny stories into the script, and they work best when told ‘first hand’ so we constantly borrowed anecdotes from eachother. They were both in the army at the same time but completely different regiments. It so happens this friend ‘Pat’ was deployed to Iraq the exact same time as my brother, to the exact same location. A couple of weeks into their respective tours, Pat’s mother has a huge heart attack. I arrange for another army friend to drive to the airbase to pick him up (3 hours each way) as I didn’t drive and we dropped him at the hospital doors, luckily his mother recovered and he went back to Iraq.
Meanwhile, my brother had been moved to a post that was so relentlessly attacked that they rotated the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this troops every 2 weeks Brother is on the roof on sentry when he sees a convoy coming in the distance. Truck goes boom. A couple of hours later my brother gets a message to say that Pat had been driving the vehicle that was blown up. He’s sent back home with his wounds and shrapnel all in his spine, so again myself and my dad this time drive about 4 hrs to see him in a military hospital. First it was silly stuff, like stealing my cousin’s story about doing the ouija board in the basement of an old victorian pub. Then one Sunday afternoon, we was in the local. Pat is just starting to walk again. He starts to regale this story about how upon hearing about his mother’s heart attack, pulled a pistol on his commanding officer because he wasn’t going to let him home and then the officer miraculously changed his mind. He said the CO was so scared of him that when he landed back in the UK they had a helicopter waiting for him that dropped him on the roof of the hospital. Where (verbatim) he ran to the ward and screamed, “WHERE’S MY MOTHEERRRR!!!” all the while telling these people, “It’s true!, isn’t it *malificent?” And looking at me in all dead pan seriousness to back up his claims Oh and the explosion? He said that he was blown from the vehicle entirely and came under heavy fire. He claimed he was prepared to die in that moment but a brave soldier ran over and started dragging him by one arm across the floor to cover. While his other arm was left free to scream and side point and shoot his pistol at the attackers as he’s being dragged off. My brother spoke to the people who were there. This was another lie. He was crying and screaming for help and practically fainted. Which is obviously a more realistic response .
Met alot of liars for sure… definetly met some neer do wells fishing for information by trying to project the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this narrative they’ve heard about me onto there own circumstanses to illicit some kinda commoradery/mirror effect. Its gross. Like to say tricky tricky in a dumb, frustrating situation… stole that from an old friend. I mis remembered my sister’s story as my own, re a useless teacher at secondary school. She’s 3 years above me but it’s experiences with that teacher are similar but I had completely forgotten that that one thing was her story not mine. Silly really. I told a story quite often (can’t be repeated here as will maybe give identity away) that involved me, and had it repeated back TO ME by a guy but subbed himself in to the story instead of me. That was the last I ever bothered with him after that. He was a compulsive liar. Known for telling lies constantly, and for no reason. Literally could never believe a thing that came out of his mouth.
Needless to say when he told me his “story” immediately I recognised it, and he recognised that I recognised it, and I recognised that he recognised that I recognised it… We were both travelling in a car, alone. There was a very awkward silence. But strangely, although it was so damn odd I wasn’t even that surprised. Right, I’ll tell you an anecdote. In 1974 I was catching the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this London train from Crewe station. It was very crowded; I found myself in a last-minute rush for the one remaining seat beside a tall, good-looking man with collar-length hair, it was the seventies; buckaroo! I looked up and saw it was none other than Peter Purves, it was the height of his Blue Peter career. He said, “You jammy bastard” and quick as a flash, I replied, “Don’t be blue, Peter!” Needless to say, I had the last laugh, now f**k off!
I don’t even like repeating my Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this own jokes and stories to a group if there is someone present who I have told before.
While I don’t consider myself dumb, I don’t consider myself very smart either, definitely not to the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this point I think I have an IQ of 115 or even higher. Took an IQ test a while back, 117. I’m not bragging, I’m not that bright, they aren’t an accurate measure of intelligence. Only thing my score meant to me was “goddamn, if I’m this stupid, I do not feel good about the average” The .pdf in question is a scan of a series of hand-written data collection forms that need to be entered into a kind of quirky excel template sheet. As in convert a word file to pdf? Is that really that difficult to do? So many free, online tools exist to do that for you. Online tools are there if, for w/e reason, you don’t have access to word. Point is that you can literally just google “word to pdf” and your problem is solved I do customer service for a company that sells on Amazon. You don’t need to be smart to just lose all faith in humanity with some of the astonishingly stupid and sometimes blatant scam artists you deal with on a daily basis. um…..not sure if you’re familiar with call service work, but the turn over in that industry is legendary lol. Yes, but the turnover isn’t sustainable if you only take 120 Iq candidates…. You’d basically cycle through 1% of the population and then fail miserably
No matter the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this field, IQ tests primarily measure how good you are at taking IQ tests, not your actual intelligence and how well you learn and remember things. Someone can know everything on an IQ test but have significant test anxiety that negatively skews their score, and most workplaces don’t have test-like environments even in stressful, anxiety inducing situations. Someone can study for an IQ test and improve their score, which shows it’s clearly not about raw potential like many believe. But are we really drawing a line now at IQ tests specifically? We’ve had companies doing Myers Briggs personality tests for the past 20 years. They may as well just ask us our star sign. Yeah I had to take a test for a job I really wanted once. It had sections for IQ, personality and one with SAT type verbal and math questions on it. I was so nervous that I remember struggling with a word association question because I was second guessing myself about the words ‘vulpine’ and ‘lupine’. I know this and I know I know these. But anxiety can really fuck with you. Especially when you’re an adult, it’s been several years since you were in a testing environment, and the results actually matter in getting something you want.
IQ tests don’t really measure intelligence as much as some people would like to think. Like the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this other commentor stated, it’s mostly testing one’s ability to take the test itself rather than testing their overall intelligence in any quantifiable way. Exactly. The test worked initially because no one was used to that kind of questions and it required actual intelligence to figure them out at the spot. Nowadays, its far more memory based as someone who remembers even one question will be leaps ahead of an equally intelligent person who scored one question less. But still with good IQ tests intelligents people have a good score usually, even if they didn’t train for IQ test before. So it’s not totally useless, just incomplete as evaluating someone. There’s not many fields where IQ tests would be helpful and even in the ones is, they are smart enough to know IQ tests are bogus 99% of the time
No it doesn’t. Iq tests are quackery, so even in fields where intelligence is required they are a bad metric to filter for I always test above 120 but I’m dyslexic and can’t spell basic words sometimes, I have a terrible memory for names, form numbers, emails, phone numbers, basically anything written and arbitrary. Relatable. I have a reasonably high IQ while also having several neurodivergencies/disabilities that make me the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this slowest goddamn learner in the world with a random assortment of skills that other people can master in a day, dyscalculia being a high ranking one in these, and I also have a chronic mental health condition that gives me the memory capacity of a broken hard drive from the mid-90s. (There’s a lot of work I could be doing and doing well, though, it’s just that these jobs are not hiring per IQ and having a blank CV at 32 doesn’t exactly make me a great candidate.)
Honestly, an IQ based hiring process might help me if I actually maintained my old score (very high, but people don’t like when I say it). That being said, I also have ADHD, apparently high functioning autism, and my memory sucks most of the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this time. After dealing with plenty of genuinely stupid people, i can certainly understand why people would agree with using any method that promises smarter coworkers. Whether or not IQ tests can deliver on that promise is dubious. It’s incredibly doubtful. My IQ well above 115, had to get it tested when they were putting me in the gifted classes in school, and I can promise that a work place full of mes would be chaotic with every task being procrastinated and no one wanting to stay one one project do people think that measures of intelligence are the sole requirement for getting a job with soft skills on the backburner?
115 is pretty high for the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this average joe, I wonder what kind of job it is, maybe it is appropriate to set such tests in place, on the other hand IQ does not account for work ethics, responsibility and other things, for example I might have a high IQ specially compared to my race, but I am lazy af and get stressed/depressed easily I might be able to perform intellectually for a while until I shut off, meanwhile someone less intelligent might take a little more time to get used to tools or stuff but might also be much more stable and reliable, or at least that’s my experience. true, in any case depending on the job it could be very useful for the employer, although people with room temperature IQ might get the short end of the stick if this become a standard for employers even for “low skilled” jobs which I recon any job can require a baseline of intelligence.
You could argue that it indicates one type of highly imprecise and learned intelligence, namely the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this ability to do IQ tests. However, it certainly doesn’t do what it was supposed to do. Honestly, modern psychometrics are so complex and come with so many caveats that it’s basically not worth the time of anyone who isn’t a psychology postgrad. They need to invent an IQ test for unlearned knowledge, like the ability to recognize patterns or intuit answers based on incomplete data. They have those. Progressive matrices, for one. Of course, that still only measures one aspect of intellect, and it could be argued that any test, however apparently culture or knowledge free, depends somewhat on experience.
I’m a high IQ person. I scored 99th percentile on all the Cats with sunglasses If We Get In Trouble It’s My Sister Fault Because I listen to her Shirt so you should to go to store and get this standardized tests, and I had a virtually perfect score on my SAT. There are a lot of Chris Langdons out there. None of us are gonna change the world. We’re just smart humans who wanna fuck off and so our own thing. Second this. Worked doing maintenance and enjoyed the ability to troubleshoot as when you get it right, it’s rewarding. Went into management, although manglement is a more appropriate name for it, and realized that high IQ’s were not a requirement. Hence my reply above about management IQ requirement. It indicates some amount of intelligence or at least maybe it does only at the far ends of the spectrum. I did some reading awhile back into why the US military requires a certain IQ and I read that the military did studies and found that people with an IQ below a certain level literally died more often in combat or would get injured or make mistakes more often and end up costing the military more money than they were worth.
