I think prices actually went down. Show is far from sold out. I’d still prefer the original seats I purchased because I like being straight back from the stage in the first row of the balcony for mid-sized arena shows. This happened in KC too, they closed the 200s due to low sales and made everything cheaper other than pit. Unfortunately for you this is actually a better deal for most, as they are moved to more expensive seats in the 100s for the price of the uppers. Also the venue now has everyone condensed in the lower section instead of the bands playing to a seemingly empty arena. I do understand your situation though, I like to be centered for better sound even if it’s further up, the sound in the lower corners always sucks. Bottom line is they need to be playing smaller more intimate venues if they can’t sell the arenas well.

I had the same thing happen to me. I argued with them and all they offered was either take it or a refund. So I asked for a refund… they only refunded the ticket, not the damn fees. I called their CS, and they pretty much told me there was nothing I could do. CS assured me a full refund including fees. I’m already considering filing a small claims case against them for breach of contract. Trust that I’ll see this through to the full extent of the law if they try to shaft me on the refund.

The seats I originally purchased were my perfect price-to-value for mid-sized arena shows: straight back from the stage, center, first row balcony. It’s a good spot for acoustics and the view is great without having to look over anyone else’s head.

I’d be extremely Po’ed if they pulled some crap like this on me. They enjoy being sued for their sloppy services. A few years ago I had a situation with them where I was not able to buy my Ada seats from their app and I actually had to go to a local box office ( which was a 1 hr 30 min drive one way ) and have them print off the tickets for me. I complained about it while I was there and now they have a check mark box in their app to purchase ada seats. Hope you can still enjoy the show! I missed them the last time they were in the area. I would have just gone, sat in the new seats, then contacted them afterwards and told them I didn’t know my seats have been reassigned and that I wouldn’t have gone if those seats were the only option, and demand a full refund.
