It’s an answer that will never get used: MONEY. Teachers need more pay for what they do. Districts need more support staff that are paid a good salary for a crappy job. Districts need more administrators to handle discipline. Districts need to hire experts who can tell them what they are doing wrong, and right, and guide them to better results. My dream: every teacher has their own assistant. I think of my husband’s job as a project manager where he has 11 employees in his specific office and then a secretary. The amount of mundane tasks we do daily that could become an assistants job would be a game changer! Make copies, make phone calls or emails to parents, make sure supplies are always stocked and prepped, assist with grade input or making excel spreadsheets for data, assist with class management, allow a bathroom break for the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt In addition,I will do this teacher….ugh. This is my dream. I could actually use my plan time to plan and grade!!
Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt: best style for you
I think making books available is key. I teach in a low income Elementary school and reading scores really increased when we started a program to send kids home with a used book they picked out from the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt In addition,I will do this free book cart every month. Unfortunately, our district’s high school closed the lschool ibrary because they didn’t want to pay someone to staff it all day, so the older kids are kind of out of luck if they don’t have books at home. But our Elementary kids seem to be reading more which will hopefully become a life-long habit. I think schools are turning more and more into centers for services. I know we have Fryskies or whaever, but there’s so much need for kids out there with daycare, preschool, after school, nutrition. I think also, there needs to be more cultural opportunities. Museums, sites, travel. Introduce kids to other kids different than themselves.
Bring in teachers who know their content deeply. Let them teach it. Give them adequate time to prepare lessons and provide feedback. Everybody is different; I’m a better teacher when I can focus on engaging things and bring my own enthusiasm to those things, teach what I see a need to teach in the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt In addition,I will do this classroom to fill skill deficits, etc. The push to “have a learning target aligned to standards” is a waste of time. Why would I force kids to “analyze how a theme develops in the text” when they can’t even understand on-level content? Why would I teach how to use semicolons when kids can’t even reliably capitalize? Let teachers teach and insist on high quality teachers; pay them well, give them freedom, and give them more time to create good materials+provide quality feedback. Reduce class sizes. If kids are overtly disruptive, provide real consequences to those kids to discourage them from continuing to disrupt. Get rid of corrupt politicians, including board of education members. Invest in parenting education. Raise salaries to get a better/larger pool of candidates for the profession.

About Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt
Real change won’t come unless the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt In addition,I will do this public education system is dismantled to some extent. Throwing money at schooling has not helped. I propose to turn high school years into what college is right now (specialized career pathing for a diploma). Having mentorship programs for students upon completion of high school. These two changes will better incentivize students for autonomy and hopefully prepare them for the world. But it also will lead to less rigid structure leading to some students falling through who either just don’t care about school or cause too many problems. Not sure if it’s just my kids school personally but their books are online for some classes and not for others. I also don’t feel what they use is user friendly especially for younger kids. If the books are online every subject is in a different place with a different log in. Maybe it won’t help and I’m just old fashioned by having a physical book at school and at home is nice. I could then check my kids grades and see they’re struggling with chapter 3 and help them.
As a kids I know I hated carrying them but I have vivid memories of my parents helping me. When in college I always opted for a hard copy and online version. Also a good old planner in elementary school to learn to write assignments down so it’s black in white and front of you. I believe this helps with time management skills. My 1st grader who’s kindergarten and 1st grade teach use planners in night and day ahead of my older daughter who’s so disorganized no matter what we do. None of her teachers used them. Then maybe in middle school leave it up to the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt In addition,I will do this kids. Ban phones. Every study points to phones being horrible for mental health, physical and cognitive development, emotional self regulation, etc…if they need to contact adults or vise versa, we have landlines. I have a no phones policy, and when I have to take them just for the class period, you would swear I’d have taken away an addict’s heroin needle… Homework. Sorry, but kids are not as busy as they think they are, even if they’re working and doing extracurriculars. They need reinforcement of skills and it’s clear classroom practice alone is not enough. It teaches them time management instead of sitting on their phones for hours on end when they get home.
Summer work. Students lose 40-60% of the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt In addition,I will do this skills they earn through the summer. Bring back self paced summer workbooks and required readings. Required student-teacher conferences. Personally, I hate sitting at my desk twice a year for six hours at a time with 0 people showing up, whether they’re doing great or terrible. Parents/guardians need to make the sacrifices to show up and care for their kids and help hold them academically accountable. These are just some of the things. I’m not old school, I’m only 25, and know the importance of tech. However, it’s only been a hindrance. Well, as someone whose dyslexic, has ADHD, was partially raised by an abusive parental figure and is now a teacher. My solution is to get the kids to pick up a pen and start writing again.
Writing pages and pages of class notes took forever and I hated being so much slower then my peers, but it helped me form muscle memory which was essentially for me to get to where I am today. The thing is, the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt In addition,I will do this parents and educators who are here reading and learning and trying to be the best parents/teachers they can be aren’t the ones who are the problem unfortunately. Nothing is going to change until we as a society proactively tackle poverty, mental illness, birth control/abortion, and start supporting parents Money: We currently spend 17.5% of GDP on healthcare. We spend 5% on education. Change that to 15.5% / 7%. That’s a 40% increase in funding. This will mean that old sick people won’t live as long.
Move to self paced learning. That will require completely new instruction materials and learning environments. $$$. Recognize that not everyone should go to college. Teach all basic math and reading. Move those who have neither the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt In addition,I will do this inclination or abilities for academics to focus on more hands on skills. This type of learning requires a lower student/teacher ratio and specialty equipment. $$$. Make schools into places where teachers teach and students learn. Move the mental health issues and the criminal justice issues elsewhere. Is this we as teachers? Because we can’t. The system we are operating in is not functional and systemic change is necessary to address the problems. Students need to be in content level classes. If they are at a 4th grade reading level they need to be in 4th grade reading. If they are at Algebra they need to be kept in Algebra. Learning is like a building you can’t skip building a foundation and just figure that out later. Stop passing kids through to the next class when they haven’t displayed proficiency in the last one. Failing a kid should be simple math. They didn’t earn the points for a passing grade well looks like they can try again next year. Summer school, and credit recovery in particular, need to go away. Students who have failed to learn something aren’t going to effectively learn in an accelerated environment. Remove and actually punish students exhibiting problematic behaviors. Consequences are the leading preventative method to address crime and work over 90% of the time.
Teachers need to be trusted and actively supported to take personal property from students if that property is disruptive or harmful to the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt In addition,I will do this educational experience. If a teacher claims something is true about students and their behavior/actions then as the adult in question they should be assumed to be telling the truth unless proof to the contrary is evident. Students need to do foundational skills before they can synthesize. Read, repeat, recognize, then you can create. Assuming that any lesson that isn’t about synthesis is “lower order thinking” and therefore a bad lesson is fundamentally flawed. Parents need to parent their fucking kids. If your kid is constantly an asshole even after consequences and effort is made to address it, that’s your problem and they should be kicked out of the school and left to parents to deal with.
Hire more teachers. Hire more aides. Invest in buildings that have heating, air conditioning, proper lighting, etc. But I think a lot of the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt In addition,I will do this issues come from socioeconomic inequality and inequity generally, and an erosion of community generally in ways that aren’t obviously linked with schools. If you’re looking for a solution, I’d personally start with advocating for “third spaces” in your local municipality or county. NIMBYs aside, it’s not a particularly political or contentious issue but third spaces provide a ton of benefits for kids especially. I can think of all of possible small fixes–re-involving parents, exposing students to the world earlier, no more for-profit education, smaller classrooms and/or more professionals in the classroom–but, end of the day, nothing about America really allows for any changes to be more than piecemeal without an American society that FULLY–not just loudly–knows that education is a requirement for keeping this thing running, full stop.
Don’t bring a child into this world if you cannot afford to or are not willing to be a consistent, focused parent. I really want kids one day, but I can’t afford them yet. I think men do have thicker skin and have their fat concentrated in the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt In addition,I will do this belly more than in other parts of the body It’s because you’re only feeling it from the outside. If you touch your own skin you’re feeling in from the outside AND the inside. Real answer: body hair makes skin feel rougher, it’s the (lack of)hair you’re feeling. Ever tried massageing a mans legs? Feels like you’re grating your hands eventually. Also lotion and lack of muscle for example. Like the way insulin changes throughout the day and based on what you eat. I’m not familiar enough with other hormones to know if there were some nuances to how they work. Like the way cortisol will change based on stress and women’s hormones change throughout the month. I don’t really know what it’s like for men. Just don’t end up like that guy from Of Mice And Men who keeps his hand in a glove. The chicks dig your chapped and cracked hands, shows you know how to use em, makes em look strong. Because girls are made of sugar and spice and all things nice while boys are made of slugs and snails and puppy dog tails. I double cleanse in the shower woth a bar soap and bodywash, I shave amd I have ehlers danlos syndrome which gives me smooth velvety skin
On top of the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt In addition,I will do this effects of estrogen, its also because your skin is very sensitive. The sensation of another’s skin will seem very soft and nice especially if you like that person, if they are relatively young and aren’t growing stubble. We are also under high selection pressure to find intimacy with a partner rewarding, so skin-to-skin contact is going to come with all kinds of nice feedback with the right person Your skin is also probably soft if you’re hydrated, bathe regularly and moisturize (bonus softness if you exfoliate). My wife tells me my skin is insanely soft but my skin doesn’t feel that soft to me. Likewise her skin feels crazy soft to me, yet to her, her own skin feels nondescript
Idk Im a dude and I’ve been told I have really soft skin which is usually followed by “just like a girl” so there’s that I guess My skin has always been soft even devoid of lotion, exfoliation, and adequate hydration. I think it’s just a girl thing. I think estrogen is a huge part of it because I never use lotions or skin care except bog standard cheap soap and I get this compliment a lot too. Definitely skincare. I like using body butters and my wife teases me sometimes that my skin is softer than hers. They have more fat distributed under their skin. Its why guys have their veins easily visible and women are soft to the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt but in fact I love this touch even at similar low body fat % I think women naturally carry more fat due to the higher estrogen levels, too. I remember telling a fuck friend years ago she had nice ass skin, after saying it I thought in a different context this sounds very creepy Yes. Men and women have different skin structures. Men have a thicker epidermis (the outermost part) and more collagen. This typically means their skin is firmer to the touch. It’s from estrogen, and a layer of subcutaneous fat. That fat layer is why women’s arms don’t look as vascular as men’s.
I have super soft skin, even if I don’t moisturize. Just comes with being a woman. Moisturizer definitely does help though. As a man my skin is actually so soft that I use to think that women’s skin use to be too rough especially when we held hands ( this was before I started deadlifting and getting terrible callouses). Though it could just be genetics. I’m transgender, didn’t change how I took care of my skin at all, and my skin is significantly softer on estrogen than it was before. Nope! I’m a trans woman and can tell you that before my skin felt like it had a layer ontop of it that went away once I started taking Estrogen. I hated my skin before now it’s nice <3 It's estrogen, as a trans nb person once I started taking t blockers and estrogen my skin got soooo soft kinda weird how different it is everyone has made good points about estrogen and collagen structure, but also women tend to watch their diets and eat more vegetables than men (I know this is an overgeneralization don’t come at me). when I went vegan and started eating better my skin got wayyyyy softer. its because men's skin is thicker so it feels rougher than womens (I've heard from what tattoo artists say anyways) It’ll never feel the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt but in fact I love this exact same but you can get closer by proper chemical exfoliation, quality moisturizer, sunscreen, night care routine, also no hot and/or long showers (this one hurts me the most lol).
48 more repliesWe need universal basic income, universal healthcare, or a child tax credit. At least one. Parents don’t have the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt but in fact I love this time/money/energy to sit and read to their kids every night bc they’re too busy working around the clock to keep a roof over their kid’s head. Reading time at home should be required for every child, but it just isn’t practical for parents. Most Americans are one accident or illness away from being homeless. If we want parents to help out teachers, we need to help out parents. Stop blaming each other. It solves nothing. Community is the only way forward. We end capitalism. I wish I were kidding, but every part of this dilemma has a monetary incentive or disincentive attached to it. Social promotion keeps the numbers up and deters dropout rates. Asses in seats = dollars. Bad administrators will not rock any boats except for those subject to their whims in order to keep their 6 figure salaries. Bad teachers are protected by bad unions who exist to fight bad administration’s and keep salaries high. Poor districts will always be behind because no government can “afford” to right the massive monetary wrongs that created the poverty in the first place. Rich districts will always be ahead because money talks. I’d like to know, do these kids really understand that they’re significantly behind where they should be? Like do you tell them, “You’re 10 but you read like you’re 5.” Are they just oblivious to it, can they not conceptualize it? Or do they just not care in general? Aren’t they embarrassed to be so far behind in the absolute basics?
They are embarrassed to not have the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt but in fact I love this latest shoes or phone. Knowledge is seen as something you can look up. It’s not cool to speak properly or to show respect to others. Restructure the way education is funded. Funding through property taxes and lotteries help rich schools get richer and make poor schools stay poor. I suggest a federal and state education tax, and the property taxes can go to the parks or something. Money directed to schools won’t be tied to test scores or any other factor like that, but the needs of the community and size of the school. Abolish elected school boards. Ignorant, malicious, and entitled parents are just as bad as the right-wing politicians. The only people running schools should be the teachers themselves and other relevant staff. And the only people determining the curriculum itself should be the teachers and experts. Community representation can come in the form of local psychologists, historians, etc. I think parents and students need a single representative each, but they need to be selected by the experts. All educational staff need to be unionized. Strike down (pun intended) the laws that forbid teachers and other public servants to organize and strike.
Take away educational autonomy from conservative states. To put it bluntly, Republicans cannot be trusted with education (and that’s me being nice). They’ve openly demonstrated their disdain for intellectualism as a whole and have made a vow to destroy public education if they have the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt but in fact I love this chance; and replace it with segregation academies. It can be replaced with a federally-mandated curriculum based on that of the best-faring blue states. In general, when you make things better for families-education will improve. Parents need a support network. Subsidized childcare, universal healthcare, improving food deserts/swamps. Eliminating much of the restrictions on felons/ex-cons. A minimum of at least two adults per classroom. TA, ENL, Para, co-teacher, whatever. If it’s an ICT class, add an extra one. No more PDs, or at the very least ones that are done by pedagogues and not weird motivational speakers. No hate to the weird motivational speakers though, they’re doing a job just like we are. But we don’t need them.
More emphasis on philosophy, government, civics, and collective responsibility in classes. People need to learn that they’re not the Carolina Panthers just a kid from Carolina shirt but in fact I love this center of the universe, and that rights come with obligations. Absolutely zero tolerance for any sort of bigoted language, harassment, or violence. The “Restorative Justice” initiatives in a lot of schools come from a genuinely good place, but they can’t work unless everyone is on board and perpetrators genuinely want to undo the harm they’ve caused. Teachers need to be allowed to fail students again. I’m grateful that my teachers in the past didn’t fail me, but because I was genuinely trying and struggling with an undiagnosed learning disability. If a student just isn’t putting in the effort, there’s no reason to pass them. I just came up with this idea, but I call it “house arrest”. This is mainly for gen-ed students. If a student gets caught with drugs, starts a fight, vandalizes school property, or threatens/assaults a teacher even once, the student will be barred from the physical school for the remainder of the year. They’ll Zoom into classes from then on, or until the “new board” deems them eligible to come back.
