That’s the Capitalism is the bad guy shirt and I love this truth. When you think this way, free will seems to be a far fetched idea, a pipe dream. Can you change it with spirituality or meditation? Only one who can see the timeline with both choices can tell you. I could see a scenario where the universe was “programmed” to prevent free will. In this experiment I view time as something that could be constant like a stream of water (excuse me for very poor analogy). The stream has allready went to the end (into The Lake) or joined with the starting point of the stream again. We can’t view anything else in the stream and we move constantly. We can move seemingly faster or slower on the stream compared to others only by playing around with near-lightspeeds or massive objects.

Capitalism is the bad guy shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

How this could create a scenario with no free will; Well the Capitalism is the bad guy shirt and I love this stream allready exists and we go with it. There is no way to shape it since it’s already complete. This would be a universe where free will couldn’t be possible. There is free will but it is empty of inherent existence – it exists interdependently with everything else. Thus the decisions you make are dependent very much on your habitual patterns going back lifetimes, cultural and social conditioning in this life such as whatever you learned from your parents or school, etc. And the you who is making the decisions, the subject of free will, is also empty of inhent existence and likewise only exists interdependently, as merely labelled as such. All that doesn’t mean that you don’t make decisions or that there is no you and no free will at all, it simply means that they are not fixed entities but fluid and manifesting interdependently.
