The late legendary irish comedian Dave Allen had a missing fingertip and he told anyone who asked about it a different story. I was looking for a particular adhesive glue. I wasn’t pissed off or annoyed, I was just looking for it and I mentioned to this boss that I was looking for this gun and straight away without hesitation he says “I don’t know, Dan must have moved it you know what he is like that boy, useless.” I just ignored him and carried on looking, then I found it quite easily, clearly where it had last been used BY MY BOSS. I know this because I had asked him to glue something for me the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this previous afternoon which he did do, the evidence of all the mess he left was still there and the guy he was blaming “Dan” hadn’t even been in the yard before or after the boss using the glue.
Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt: Embrace Your Uniqueness
It was such a weird thing to do because I just wanted to find this Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this guy, its usually that they end up every random place so I wasn’t surprised to be looking for it. Just be honest and say “I used it last but can’t remember where I put it”. I literally would not care at all. At my first job when I was a 14 my boss told someone in front of me that she’d had to come to pick me up once because I was running late and I’d come to work in my PJs then got changed there. Never happened, had never been in any vehicle with her. My friend told me about this fancy fish tank she had just got that took up a whole living room wall. She said this as we were walking to her house. There was no fish tank. It is things like this I love, I can never fathom what people like this think they are going to gain by telling a lie they are going to nearly be instantly found out on.
My ex husband does it all the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this time. Just really odd lies that the truth makes absolutely no difference to me,or I’d eventually find out and be so angry his life would be a bit difficult for a while. Most recently, tried to tell me that he changed the address on his driving licence to his girlfriends address “just in case they moved in together”,spoiler,he’d moved in her with her. Took him 3 days to admit it for some reason. We’ve been apart for 4 years and he’s been with her maybe 3 years(unsure cause he lied about that for 2.5 years I think. Might be longer) Recently put our property on the market, accepted an offer and told me he was planning to put it on the market to sell very soon. He can’t explain why he lied. This is all on a faith basis as I never wanted to be on the mortgage,I just paid it for 20 years. However as we have kids and very I intwined via per kids (complicated visiting situation) I trusted him haha. Most famous from when we were together is if I wanted to go somewhere he’d lie and tell me it’s 4 times the actual distance. It’s all very, strange.
How I can buy this Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt
Loads mate. Mostly from the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this same person who I no longer talk to. Last time I spoke to him, me and my gf were staying near his for a holiday and he said he’d meet up with us, then during the week before we got there, he says he’s moving house so can only meet us on Sunday. Then on Sunday he says his dog died. An ex boyfriend of mine told me that he was off to stay at his sisters for a few days but really he was wanting me out the house long enouvg so he could move his stuff out without me knowing. I’m a bit of a petrol head. Back in the early 2000s, like a lot of car nuts, I had a Subaru Impreza. A guy I worked with (who was in his 40s, so not a young dickhead) insisted that his mum, who was 74, had a rally prepped Mitsubishi Evo, complete with anti-lag, full roll cage, sequential gearbox etc. It was her daily driver, apparently. I once had an appointment to visit a business, the office was in his (very large, very lovely) home. He offered coffee and said “only Nescafé instant, I’m afraid” (presumably, I thought, because it wasn’t a ‘proper’ coffee, I wasn’t bothered, it’s what I drank at home). The coffee came and it was clearly a cheap supermarket own brand type coffee. Obvs, I didn’t comment but I’ve always thought it an odd thing for him to lie about. If he’d not said anything at all, it wouldn’t have entered my head to think anything of the coffee I was given!
She calls all fabric softener Comfort, so i’ll sometimes get a shopping list that includes “Fairy Comfort” instead of “Fairy softener”. & when Costco only has actual Comfort instead of Fairy, I end up texting something like “they’ve only got Comfort Comfort instead of Fairy Comfort, do you want that instead?” Yes, like washing up liquid is always fairy and every vacuum cleaner is a hoover! Not thought of that as, tbh, everyone I know would always make instant coffee unless we were being ‘posh’!! Perhaps he ran out of proper coffee and forgot what instant coffee he had in the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this cupboard? If it’s not proper coffee, it might as well be the cheapest brand. in the sauna once, i got up to leave and some guy swore blind I’d only been in there 5 minutes when i knew it had been at least 15. still can’t figure out why he needed to do that. I’ve left a sauna after 5 minutes before. I don’t see why it would be shameful even if you did. I’m guessing there was more than just the two of you in there. I once went for a swim before going in the sauna and I did maybe two lengths, down and back, then got out to go to the sauna. The lady beside me saw me getting out and said “is that it?” I have to admit I never expected it and did little to defend myself because I wasn’t prepared to have some random stranger question my lack of commitment to swimming. Once in the sauna I had plenty of responses of course, but I’d look mad if I marched back and gave her both barrels 5 minutes 15 minutes later. yeah there’s some weird macho contest with some guys in the sauna. this guy had been chewing my ear nonstop since I sat down and for once i had the perfect comeback – i said, ‘congrats on being able to make 5 minutes feel like an hour.’
I decided that the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this young lady needed complimenting so I told her boss how impressed I was with her conduct and manners. The boss then told me “it is only her second week, she is doing extremely well”. I didn’t really clock it initially but after leaving it registered that she has been there far longer than two weeks False. It was two identical twins. One of them had worked there for two weeks and the other had worked there for far longer than two weeks. A local boy from the small town I grew up in tragically died of a rare disease at 7 years old and most people knew of his death and legacy. Some years later he had a health centre named after him and a plaque outside the health centre with his name and picture. 5 years later a boy of the same name started our secondary school and somehow ended up in our group of friends. He was always lying but my friends hung onto his every word. He would tell people the smallest most insignificant lies, nothing too serious but things that were not worth lying about. Anyway, one day, we were hanging around near the health centre and my friend pointed out the plaque commemorating the poor little lad that died. Our new friend started crying and told us that it was him and that he died as a child and was brought back to life after he was pronounced dead by accident and that him and his parents had to go away for a bit and come back when it had quietened down. Me and another friend said what he was saying was sick and he ran home crying and told his parents that we were bullying him. He doubled down on the lie and my mum had to have a meeting with his mum at school to iron it out. Needless to say I left him behind but some of my ex friends stayed close with him until they found out he also lied about having cancer. Weird guy. Would love to know what he’s doing now.
When I was first introduced to AC/DC, my mum told me that Bon Scott simply disappeared one day and was never seen again. I kinda get she was trying to protect/shield me from the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this dangers of alcohol, but surely if she wanted to do that she’d have been honest and said he died from alcohol abuse? I’m on a fairly niche server for a type of forum game. A little while ago we had a person who went from being fairly quiet/obscure to this incredible larger than life figure who completely fabricated their entire life to the point of highly likely lying about their racial heritage. I won’t go into too much detail but it turned from irritating prat to maliciously manipulative at the end where they were lying about having cancer and faking some sort of “attack” and urgent surgery after people called them out for a pretty racist joke. They were eventually caught out (and their fake “wife”) when they shared photos of a bald woman with piercings, claiming it to be them post-chemo and multiple people found it was just taken from some fashion shoot. When confronted they disappeared.
A couple lighter ones, mate works with a woman who claims she’s a multi-millionaire (works for a council and lives with at home in a small house in Bolton) and how her father is a leading figure in the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this garment industry. Another one is after a family dentist visit my mum claimed that the dentist had sajd despite her having some kind of early onset gum disease and needing multiple fillings these were the best teeth she’d ever seen. When I was at primary school back in the 80s, we had a reading task called ‘once a week comprehension’. The headteacher was taking our class one day and told us that comprehension literally means ‘once a week’. What a weird bollocks to tell, Mrs Sims! I successfully convinced my son that I have a medical condition which, ironically, makes it impossible for me to lie An old friend said she had read the entire Lord of the rings trilogy by herself by the time she was two. We gave her loads of chances to just basically say ‘yeah that was a dumb thing to say I don’t know why I even said that’ but she stuck by this impossible lie like her life depended on it for the rest of the time that I was friends with her and I have no idea why
Many years ago me and my mates used to walk the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this swimming baths. We had to pass this big old house and one of my mates told me it belonged to the mum of the World of Sports presenter Dickie Davies. I never had no reason to doubt it as it wasn’t as if he was telling me it was the home of a big celeb. I once had a date tell me this big story about his narrowly missing being involved in a mass shooting in Melbourne Aus. So I looked up the shooting. For days I searched for any mention of an event that supposedly killed 8 or 9 people, and found nothing. No news reports, clippings or court documents. Nada. There have been other shootings, but not this one he described. It was totally fabricated. Obviously I gotta outta dodge quickly after that, but why would anyone do that? So unnecessary and just weird.
68 more repliesI’m the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this one that tells the lies, I’m sorry. Lying is a skill like any other, if you want to be good at it – you need to practice Maybe only second week on phones or maybe twins? I know a pair of twins and this type of thing happens to them often. My Dad left my Mum and my brother I, never to be seen again when I was only 3. My Mum told me my Dad lived in Portugal (because he did for work when they first met and had gone back a few times while they were together) so I grew up telling people my Dad was from Portugal. It was a nicer narrative than ‘My Dad fucked off and left us’. I’m part French part Romanian so have a ‘European look’ about me and it just became a thing that my Dad was from Portugal and lived in Portugal and that’s why he isn’t with us. When I met my husband at 22 I told the same lie even though I’d long since realised he lived a few towns away with his girlfriend and two kids. My husband knows where my Dad is now, but nobody but my mum brother and I know he really isn’t from Portugal.
I was the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this teller of the lie….. When my Granddaughter was born I cut the umbilical cord. Her Mam and I were telling her all about it. When asked how I cut the cord, I told her I used my teeth. She would have believed me if my daughters disgust hadn’t been so obvious Daily. I work for one of the big breakdown companies and lots of “customers” couldn’t tell the truth if their lives depended on it OP: could be the woman at the Chinese takeaway was only helping the business by working there, if its a family business and she was a member of the family. so they only actually employed her 2 weeks before I went on a date with a guy from a dating site. I felt like we really hit it off, we spent all night chatting and it was like a fucking rom com, I guess it just felt like we had hella chemistry.
Didn’t hear from him again (we didn’t sleep together so it’s not as though he was wanting to just get his leg over). I carried on with my life. Roll on about two years, I’m working in a nightclub and said guy comes up to the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this bar and orders some drinks for him and his mates. This guy proceeds to tell me how he has an inoperable brain tumour behind his eye, he’s now half blind and cut contact with a lot of people because of his diagnosis. He also mentions he’s only got a few years left. Roll on 7ish years from this, he’s popping up on my social media as a suggested friend. Still alive and well it seems. I bumped into an ex work colleague called David in a bar once. I asked him what he was doing with work, he explained he got a new job as a salesman at Audi.
What a coincidence, I replied my Dad has just bought a new Audi! Before I could finish he interrupted and told me he had sold the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this car to my dad… I acted surprised and agreed it was a coincidence… Didn’t have the heart to tell him that I was in fact with my Dad when he bought the car and it was sold to him by a woman called Catherine… to this day no idea why he would make that up New small shop was taken over recently, the manager offered me a leaflet of stock and prices, ‘we’re not part of a chain’, seemed anxious to get that across, next day big chain name put up over the door. my mum spent years telling me how she would never suit short hair and the shortest shes ever gone is a bob and how lucky i am that a pixie suits me, then when i asked her for photos of her at my age to see if we look alike i got a photo of her with a pixie cut! ive been thinking about it ever since because its just such an odd thing to lie about
When I was about 6 I was at my dad’s works kids Xmas party (it was the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this 70s) and I had a jumper with “skateboard champion” on it. One of the helpers (probably a mid teen) said (like you would to a little kid) “oh are you a skateboard champion”? Quite what these championships were and where in the US I’ve no clue – she must have thought I was a right bellend. Hopefully she’ll post here about the little kid getting confused about his jumper vs reality. Used to work with a guy who was doing a basic entry level job with us. He told me he had his own business in South Africa, where he was from, breaking horses. He used to spend his days just chilling playing games in his office, and where he had his computer his staff couldn’t see what he was really doing. He was also in the army, had a massive house filled with marble, used to swat his neighbours, and I can’t remember anything else at the moment, but it was so bad that I saw him wearing a uniform and he told me he had a new job and I found it difficult to believe him.
My sister said when we were young I put my rabbit on the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this washing rotary line. I didn’t. She did. To this day she still says the story and says it was me. Reading through the stories here I’ve just realised how much like ChatGPT people are, just making up plausible shit all the time. I had a friend claim she had 2 siblings. We were already adults so it wasn’t strange to not know or see them. She’d trip herself up saying things like being the end of the bloodline then try wash it away with the siblings being half siblings etc. Her sister was to be her bridesmaid. They’d gone shopping & she’d brag about her sisters dress etc. but on the actual day there was no sister. No siblings on the seating chart. No mention of siblings in speeches etc. Never any explanation of why she lied.
There are a number of people in the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this world who believe I’m half Swedish because that’s what I told them. I have no idea why I told them that, it’s completely untrue. i’m pretty sure that convincing a naive person that they should have unprotected sex in a certain position because they “can’t get pregnant” when they don’t know better is some form of rape u/sounding_rod_fan said “yeah i did it all the time when i was a young adult…”yeah, i’ll call you tomorrow, and the classic, “you can’t get pregnant if we do it standing up” Not been told, but told- I was fascinated by Russia as a child and told other kids until I was maybe 9 or 10, in a scouse accent, that I was from Russia and we moved here cos my dad’s a spy???????
My Grandad used to lie about being teetotal all his life. In truth, he was quite fond of the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this odd pint or 12 in his youth. When his kids were born his sister asked him to cut down a bit, and tragically died a few months later. So in tribute to her he knocked it on the head and never drank again. But he would tell people he had never in his life drank alcohol, didn’t see the appeal etc. One was a white girl around 18 years old, the other is a 50ish year old chinese woman so possible but I am airing on the side of doubt. This made me chuckle to think of the memory, but about ten years ago my first serious boyfriend was about to introduce me to one of his best friends, and he randomly told me that his parents owned or invented the BIC pen company. And I believed him for so long (luckily never asked the best friend about it). He owned up to it when he realised I had totally run with it. One of my exes claimed to be great at cooking slow cooker recipes and said he made it through uni cooking meals like that.
The guy had no idea how to cook, slice or even peel anything at all. I had to show him the Buford T. Justice Merry Christmas To All You Sumbitches Christmas Shirt But I will love this most basic stuff. Why even lie? And why lie about a fricking slow cooker?! My grandfather told lots of random lies to various people. Frank and Jessie James were from a neighbouring Welsh village, Terry Wogan was from Pembroke Phyllis Calvert was a relation etc only found out some of them were lies at his funeral My ex boyfriend told me his only sibling had died when they were younger. It later turned out he had a disabled brother very much alive. I mean, why would you try to hide that? As it turned out, he told lies all over the place but I could never understand why he’d lie about something like that. A man I used to work with (lets call him Billy) was a compulsive liar, lying about things that weren’t really impressive for no good reason. It was mind boggling.
