Having flashbacks to the Bucky McMillan remember the name shirt and I love this time Halloween fell on a Saturday, and the time change was the same day. I worked at a wing joint in a college town, near the busy bars. God, that night was my least favorite day working in restaurants of the 14 years I worked in restaurants. I just did this. I turned the clock back from 2 to 1 with tears in my eyes. Worked the 1 o’clock hour all over again. Got paid for a 13 hour shift instead of 12 tho When I worked 3rd shift years ago, I would get one hour of OT added to my check during fall back and I would just work 39hrs in spring when we jumped forward and lost and hour. We just buckle down and work an extra hour, feels weird but we just do it, technically our manager said we could leave early, but most people just stick it out

When I worked night shift we worked the Bucky McMillan remember the name shirt and I love this extra hour. Due to always working Saturday I also had the spring forward shift and worked 1 hour less. We were paid both one hour more in the fall and one hour less in the spring. Where I work you get a 13 hour shift but only get paid 12 hours Then in spring get paid 12 hours but only work 11 When I worked night shift on the factory floor they had everyone clock out, take an hour lunch, and then clock back in, if there were machines that had to keep going those people worked through lunch and took it at a later time while someone who wasn’t on a priority machine took over for that hour. Depends on the job. I’ve had a job where we get out an hour “early”, but when I worked in a factory the overnight people were forced to work an extra hour because the machines never stopped running so there was no way to leave them unattended for an hour until the next shift came in
