Boston Celtics Juneteenth shirt

The Celtics have a long history of supporting social justice causes, making the Boston Celtics Juneteenth shirt an especially meaningful symbol. In 1965, Celtics star Bill Russell joined the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party, a group working to register African American voters in the South. Russell also spoke out against racial injustice, using his platform as a prominent athlete to advocate for change. The Celtics continue to honor Russell’s legacy by supporting organizations that promote racial equality and social justice.
