Culture is more heavily tied up with ethnicity and a shared tradition, than to a race. Some people believe hispanic people are white and some don’t.

There is many shades of whiteness and my southern European “whiteness” hidden under my Mediterranean tan as I grew up only gave me the position of “honorary” white – not “true” white – amongst some and no better that those African-American or Hispanic-American or Asian-American that kisses Trump’s ass to earn their badge as “honorary” white USA citizens. The “white” propaganda of the USA conservative right is stomach churning sickening. It’s worst when the Christians that are suppose to recognize we are all God’s children also buy into that propaganda. Anyway that’s what happens when xenophobia is allowed to dominate the cultural landscape.
