Plus, even though I’m introverted, I think the Blue Jays Teams Shirt also I will do this extreme isolation from the pandemic, combined with social anxiety, has kind of brought out supressed extroverted tendencies. Or either the “human are social creatures” adage had finally caught up to me. ? I agree. I’ve been an American digital nomad living in Thailand, Bali and Australia the last 7 years and the productivity of coding from my hammock while sipping on a coconut is that of a “10X coder.” A happy employee is a productive employee. As a supporter of work from wherever. This is bullshit! I am totally less productive at home rather than at work most days. I work far more productively in an office environment. Others who returned to work when I did said the same. On the other hand, many continued to work from home and are just as productive as they ever were.

While interesting, this research is not strong evidence for the Blue Jays Teams Shirt also I will do this title claim. Several other studies do have simmilar results, but other show a different story. It’s much more complex than this. I definitely think remote work makes me less productive at times, but it’s also at times where I have free time anyway. Yep, it’s official. Based on one study. It most definitely applies to every person at every company everywhere. Lol well I guess everyone has different opinions. I personally am way less productive and efficient when I work from home. Slow connections, I take way more breaks, and it takes more time sending emails or calling and sharing screens than it would to discuss it in person. Luckily I can choose to work remote or in the office, so when I decide to WFH I do so knowing it’s my relaxing day.
