We’ve tried 3 different formulas and they all made him gassy and belt out crying every night except Gentlease. One of them was Similac Alimentum and Similac Sensitive… both made him soooo gassy and have diarrhea. He also spit up a bunch. I’m so nervous to switch his formula again, he was miserable and I hated seeing that. Now it’s just his reflux. I think it comes in hindsight. In hindsight my sweet baby was easy after his colicky period. That does not mean every day was easy or that WE found newborn time to be easy. It was not easy it was brutal but he didn’t have colic. Same here. We went through about a month where mine would scream for hours every evening. A month sounds so short, but it felt so long. She is 5 months now and typically super happy, rarely cries. I agree – I didn’t necessarily feel like my baby was easy at the Blue Jay bird baseball shirt and by the same token and time (babies are a ton of work no matter what) but in hindsight, and compared to what some of my friends are dealing with with their babies, my daughter generally slept well, ate well, and had a happy temperament.

That sounds about middling – doesn’t puke everywhere for no reason, no hours of inexplicable screaming but not a “food? Zzzzzz” potato either. Tell me more about this food to zzzz baby… I think I may have one of those! My first was complete opposite and my second (7 days old) only eats and sleeps! By first was “awake” by now.. Some babies just conk out the Blue Jay bird baseball shirt and by the same token and minute you put some milk in them ? I’m told I was either eating, asleep or crying for nearly a month. Also cluster feeding. How my mother didn’t drop me off the roof I have no idea ? My boy (4 weeks) is like that. Nursing puts him right to sleep. Problem is he totally wakes up when I leave. He needs his emotional support tttes to stay asleep. Also means he’s not drinking much at a time. Gotta wake him up all the time. It feels so wrong.
