The amount of lactose in medications isn’t enough to cause problems for lactose intolerant – am a lactose intolerant pharmacist I went to have a minor op once and the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this doctor was talking about something and said “hang on, I’ll have to go look that one up” and that made me feel a lot better than him having tried to waffle it off would have. Be honest if you’re not sure of something, none of us know everything! I told my GP that a certain medication I was taking was having a certain side effect. He told me that this was not a side effect of this medication. The information that comes with the medication tells me that this is a very common side effect, and a very quick Google told me that some people take this drug specifically for this effect, making it, for some people, the main effect!
Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt: Unleash Your Dinosaur Style
I used to know this woman who was a pathological liar and also just… really strange in general. I consider myself kind of weird/quirky/whatever, but she was odd on a whole different level. She used to lie about the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this most random, pointless things. Usually about being interested in a TV show/movie/game/book/comic/fandom/whatever. So for example you’d say, “Oh do you like Marvel films?” And she’d enthusiastically say yes! And then proceed to not even know anything about the topic. Would make up random characters that were her “favourite”, like “Oh yeah I really like Sarah, she’s my favourite!” It was so bizarre. Anytime you’d try and start a conversation, it was always immediately met with lies. You could say “Do you like chocolate icecream?” And her reply would be “Yes it’s my favourite!” Then tomorrow, “Do you like the vanilla icecream!” “Oh yeah that’s totally my favourite, I HATE chocolate icecream”
One particularly weird lie I remember was she made up a story about her younger brother needing speech therapy as a child, and that her parents took her along to the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this therapy sessions to “prove” to the speech & language therapy that she could talk or something, but she decided for funsies to pretend she was mute the entire session. Her boyfriend of 10+ years was also weird and they often would invite me over for their sad MLM pitches where the boyfriend would say “Oh do you mind if I just practice my sales pitch for (random bullshit he was selling that month)” and I’d be trapped there for what felt like hours listening to him wax lyrical about stuff Last time I saw her was at her wedding. Not to the boyfriend, no she dumped him for another man who was blatantly (and I mean, it was ridiculously obvious to everyone except her & her family) marrying her to get a visa/permanent residency. I spent the entire wedding politely telling her that no I didn’t want to “Get to know” her husbands friends who “They don’t want to date you just for a visa, hun! They’re all on this super smart STEM course at uni and will get visa’s after that automatically as part of the course!”. Predictably, the second they were married he suddenly had “issues” with his “guaranteed STEM course visa pathway”. They had a baby and have split up as far as I know, idk we lost contact

My uncle Mick (RIP) was born with one leg shorter than the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this other and used to wear a built-up shoe. When my sister and I were little, he used to tell us that he smuggles drugs in the large base of his shoe. Cue my younger sister going to primary school one day, and during a class show & tell explaining to her teacher and friends how her “uncle has a tall shoe that he hides and smuggles drugs with” During my Uni days our housemates boyfriend claimed he got an offer of £5mill from EA to published his game and he threw it in the bin. we all knew he was studying a beginner coding course and could only make basic 2d shapes. dude was a massive stoner and guess he wanted to look like he’s going to make something of his life.
Shame because these days those kind of skills and an EA deal are easily worth a £49.99 release, couple of £19.99 DLCs and a premium season pass! My dad told me he was in a band in the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this 70s called The Rubber Band and they were a one hit wonder and were on Top Of The Pops. Pre-YouTube so I believed him for YEARS. Then brought it up when I was about 13, he said “what on earth are you talking about?” He was a full on compulsive liar, not even lies to try and boost his rep or anything, just absolute Bellshill stuff. If I sat hard and dug deep I’m sure I could recall some gems. However, the one that sticks out for me was “when I was younger, I wasn’t allowd to play football. I was so fast the linesman couldn’t actually see if I was offside, because I was moving so quick. So I just wasn’t allowed to play”
I viewed a house which was built to look a bit like a dormer bungalow, where the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this upstairs windows stick out and have flat roofs. The seller told me she had had the roofs raised so they weren’t flat. She hadn’t We viewed a house once and were shown around by the owner, rather than an estate agent. He told us that the garden “gets the sun 24×7”. I once worked for a habitual liar who on top of things was very bad at lying and forgot whatever they had said the week before, maybe because there were so many lies. So they’d contradict themselves all the time. On the surface it was always little completely unnecessary lies, which was weird because this person was highly successful, wealthy and charismatic. They didn’t need to lie, especially about trivial stuff. After a while i realised that while they were successful, they also really struggled to take ownership of their mistakes and shortcomings, so the lying was about saving face. A lot of it was also related to money and getting away from having to pay for stuff, even though they had loads in the bank.
I used to tell people all the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this time when they’d compliment me in the shop I was working that I was only my first day (I was a manager) but it was just to be a bit silly and catch them a little off guard. omg i used to make up the silliest lies when i worked retail just to shake up the boredom. i worked in a grocery store so was always telling people that i “absolutely loved” whatever random ingredients they were buying and that i “cooked with them all the time.” would also definitely tell people i had just started when i’d been working there for ten years lol. We convinced a customer that the new plastic £5 notes all smelt – like scratch and sniff. She even gave it a little lick in case she had a blocked nose , ive not laughed that had for a while. This is a bit petty of me as it happened way back in primary school, but sometimes I think about my classmate who used to tell me that she had celebrities visiting her house; like H from Steps and the girls from Atomic Kitten. I used to be really sad because I was never invited to see these super cool pop stars.
I once got in a taxi back from work, I recognised the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this driver he used to go out with one of my neighbours and I used to be best friends years earlier with his sister, he didn’t recognise me and started telling me how he owned a night club in Spain and owned property all over Europe, me being me I called him straight out, it was all bullshit. He nearly choked on his can of coke and tried to back track. I found out from other drivers he told them the same story’s and they had believed him. They told me other things he’d been bragging about that were a complete work of fiction. Years ago with a new team of people I was working with we were waiting in a queue and talking about relationships. I asked one guy if he had a gf and he said “nah I’m gay”, totally deadpan, because why would he say it any differently?
Fast forward months and he almost took insult when I queried how he’d gotten a new girlfriend. The guy was “joking”. Imagine someone saying they’re gay to you and then you’re like “haha lol no you’re not!” Odd behaviour. A kid at school left midway through the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this year, year 9 I think. During the 6 weeks me and a couple mates went to ask if he wanted to go for a ride, he said yes and came out with us. Obviously asked why he’d left our school and he said “I wanted to learn parkour so I’m going to a school that teaches it” obviously bullshit but when I spoke to his mom later it was because of a messy divorce and moving the kids to a new school that dad didn’t know You have to try to either insert yourself into a conversation or take it over by being better/more interesting. Oh, you tripped and scraped your knee? That’s so sad for you but I fell down 4 flights of stairs and broke both my legs a while ago, the doctor said I’d never walk again, but here I am, but I’m sure your knee is so sore
I met an Irish guy one night at a bar. We chatted and drank all night. Took him home but didn’t do anything on the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this night because I was hammered. In the morning, in the most obvious broad mackem accent, he asked me if I’d give him a hand. I didn’t. He’d literally put on an accent all night for no apparent reason This lad in secondary school tried to convince us, and stuck to it for years, that he was Greek, and he was also the youngest member ever of the Greek paramilitary but he gave it up because he wanted to finish his education. We went to his house after a few years of this and he pretended to speak Greek (definitely not close to sounding like even a half decent fake Greek) to his sister, his sister said “what the fuck are you doing?”.
On the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this flip side, I had an ex girlfriend who would sometimes respond to my answers of basic questions like what I had for lunch, what score I got on a test at uni, basic questions about my childhood etc, with “why are you lying? What a weird thing to lie about” when I was telling the truth. It was almost always provable as well, and she’d just be like “Hmm”. I don’t know if she thought she was great at detecting lies and the fact she’d been wrong every time was a coincidence or what, but I learned being accused of lying about mundane shit when I’m not is my least favourite thing. During Fresher’s week at uni I went on the night out for my course. Met a girl who told me in a loud drunken Aussie accent that she was from Melbourne. Didn’t speak to her again until final year when we worked on a group project again and she was not, in fact, Australian. It still baffles me years later why she would drunkenly lie to me about it.
This reminds me of something I used to do. I worked in a supermarket on the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this tills and would be absolutely bored out of my mind so I’d serve each customer in a different accent. Always cringe when I think about that. lol. Just for fun, I did the same. Spent a whole night telling geordies in Newcastle how grand the place was and talking at length about how we Irish have so much in common with northern mining towns. Then I got too drunk and forgot to keep up the accent. I am in fact Geordie myself. my sister (new zealander) used to talk in a british accent when she got drunk, lol. we also used to play a game at bars where we tried to convince other people of the most outrageous thing possible about ourselves (i.e. that we were professional models in germany, that we were distantly related to famous celebrities, etc.) i can see us daring each other to convince someone we were australian. People like to pretend they’re from different countries on nights out, it’s a thing. She was just having fun practicing her accent I bet.
This is the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this earliest lie I can remember telling. I was 5 and in Primary 1 at school. Mrs Ballantyne said she needed someone to go to the school office for something (can’t remember what). I shot my hand up and she told me, “go on then”. The second I got into the corridor I realised I had no idea where the office was. I hung around for about 2 minutes then went back into the classroom and told her I’d forgotten where it was. To this day I have no idea why I said I knew where it was. Showing off, I suppose. Edit: just realised this is about other people telling you lies. Maybe Mrs Ballantyne will be along in a minute to tell the story about a lying schoolboy she encountered many years ago. She’s probably long dead, mind.
I (M) had a friend/flatmate (F) that I was out on a walk with one day. We can see the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this Shard from the area that we live. I had looked at her Instagram profile at some point and could see from her tagged photos that she had recently been to a restaurant in the Shard. We see the skyscraper while on our walk and she asks me if I’ve been there. I say, no. I ask her the same expecting her to say yes, but she also replies no. I’m bewildered. What I found funny was that she lied about something that she herself brought up! Anyways, that turned out to be the first sign of many that she was not a person I could trust. A former colleague of mine once misheard her new hairdresser asking whether she had kids, and said yes. The hairdresser started chatting away about mum life and asking more questions about my colleague’s baby…
Years later (the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this time at which she confesses this to us late one night shift) she was still going to the same hairdresser and having to update her on what little Theo was up to Said former colleague does now have a real baby and I really want to know whether the hairdresser was excited for Theo to be a big brother. In my teenage years I hung out with someone who told everyone he’d shagged Hayley Williams from Paramore. Needless to say NOBODY believed him. When I was about 5 my dad convinced me someone had a job collecting bubbles fish blow out to use in spirit levels… I was a teenager when it dawned on me he was having a laugh… He was a mechanic at the time and apparently it was just one of a load of things they used to tell the apprentices while messing with them
Went on an online date with a dude who said in his profile he speaks a certain language fluently. I am fluent in that language and as it’s not too common to meet people in uk who know it well I went on the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this date. Spoke to him in the language. It very quickly became clear that he didn’t speak it. At all. When I asked why he had said he did he doubled down. Said he is a fluent speaker and the problem was my accent in the language (I don’t have an accent particularly). I have a friend who constantly comes out with pointless lies. One time he got annoyed with a group of us in the pub because we were surprised he didn’t have a clue, even down to the month, when his fiancée’s birthday was so he shouted “Well you don’t know when mine is!!” to which we all replied in unison with the date. He then claimed we were wrong and were a day out. I replied “Look, we’ve known you for years… we know which day your birthday is” but he was adamant we were all wrong.
He then sat down and started messing with his phone in silence. About 30 minutes later he looked up and said “After some investigation it would appear you got my birthday correct”. I replied “Yeah, we know and you also knew!” but he refused to back down and claimed he always thought his birthday was on a different day. Another time he came out with a long story about going to a 5-star hotel in London and them charging him £5 for a can of Coke back in 1996. We were confused as to why a posh hotel would just hand him the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this can and not pour it into a glass, how it could have cost £5 back then, etc. Eventually one of my friends said “You’re making this all up, aren’t you?” and he admitted he was. My friend then asked him “Have you at least been to London or was that a lie, too?” – nope, he’d never been there so not a single aspect of the story was true. No idea why he made it all up to complain about the price of a can of Coke in 1996.
When we were kids, my sister convinced me that blu-tak was an inedible fruit which grew on trees. I have no idea where she came up with this or why but I was an adult when it dawned on me that she was lying. I was doing a cryptic crossword at work when a colleague came and started telling me the Billiards can’t solve all my problems that’s what the beer is for T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this answers. The problem? I could see on her phone that she had the answers up! Bizarrely, she would pretend that she was working them out by herself. I think she got a bit of a power trip from lying about stupid things, and gaslighting people by denying that she was lying despite obvious evidence… Quite toxic My Dad lied to the family about having breast cancer for over a year and then just after we finally learned it was a lie, he got kidney cancer. What a fucking couple of years it’s been.
