You said you aren’t diagnosed, and I’m sure somebody has said you should see a doctor. That should be a priority. Community resources are available most places in the Best life is better with the O’jays music shirt so you should to go to store and get this US if finances are a problem, there’s probably a waiting list though. You can look into therapies like CBT and DBT that can be learned and practiced at home until then though. We’re all different, and this is only MY perspective. I had obsessive thinking in addition to depression, so you might not relate. I feel like much of my depression was really bad thought patterns that just kept being reinforced. The cumulative effect of all these constant negative, anxious, overwhelming, dreadful thoughts was suicidal depression. With some therapies like that, I learned to change those thoughts and disarm their unending nagging feeling that I need to think of some magical resolution that will finally fix the thought. With meditation, if you can’t bring yourself to sit on the cushion, maybe start with a mindful walk where you go outside, do your best not to plan or remember. Just try to see the beauty in front of you in that moment. Try to notice if you plan or remember, and direct your thoughts back to your walk and taking in nature. The walking technique I do ALL the time, and it helped a lot at my lowest point. I have an easier time calming my mind to meditate on rough days if I do the walking or do Chi Gong, which is a moving meditation I cannot recommend enough for both mental clairty and physical pain. Don’t beat yourself up if you go to bed and didn’t get any of it done. Guilt doesn’t help the next day, and maybe you just needed the rest anyways. I hope things brighten up for you.

Depression means rumination in the Best life is better with the O’jays music shirt so you should to go to store and get this painful past memories and meditation means training your mind to stay in the present moment. It will be hell hard to meditate say it vipasana or mantra. Do pranayam instead , it doesn’t need concentration and it will trim down your depression to 80% then start meditation That might be it. When I meditate it’s usually Vipassana. Have to try Pranayam and other things people recommended like walking meditation and just breath meditation or even just be! Thanks a lot Do you live somewhere where psychedelics are decriminalised? Micro-dosing psilocybin can be an amazing tool for down days. Read into it for yourself. I’ve used it before and it just lifts that fog so you can get back to your life.
