We miss Borders so much. The only excuse to visit is returning stuff bought online, and that was super inconvenient as these stores were often located in urban retail districts with tight parking. The had a “gated” entry, which made you feel like you had to buy, but you could literally open the app and see you were paying more. Sounds terrible, but this was just overhead they didn’t need. I can’t imagine these stores made much of a profit and were mostly there to pedal Amazon branded stuff. Amazon’s closing physical stores and the online is nowhere near as good as it used to be with all the counterfeit and knock off sellers you have to wade through to get to what you actually want
