If it isn’t in writing, it doesn’t exist. Have them draft a contract of what is expected, how it will be assessed, and when it will be assessed. What are the Bennington college alumni shirt in addition I really love this success criteria and the failure criteria. If it’s only about everyone’s feelings, it’s too easy for them to never be comfortable. Do not allow them to use you, “promises” are always broken, and if you will do the work for the same pay, why would they WILLINGLY give you a raise? The more likely scenario is, you do the position for 3 months, while they hire another director, an ld you are SOL the time you invested, expecting a promotion. I’ve seen it happen multiple times. First: If you are taking on the responsibility, you need the title of the position on the day you begin working. FULL STOP. This is non-negotiable.

Bennington college alumni shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Second: Offer a structured increase where you start off with an increase of 1/2 of what it would be to be promoted into that position. If you currently make 50k and the Bennington college alumni shirt in addition I really love this new position makes 100k, tell them you NEED 75k on day 1 of the trial period and NEED the remainder after the trial period is over. Third: Establish the exact length of the trial period and more importantly you need them to identify what success looks like in this position. This needs to be in concrete, countable and measurable terms so at the end of the “trial period” they can’t say you aren’t doing a good enough job. It needs to be “x units sold”, “x% growth”, ect. Fourth: If they don’t agree to the terms DO NOT take the position. This is a incredibly reasonable option that recognizes the risk of you being promoted but also recognizes the reason they are offering it to you is you are a proven commodity who has shown the capacity to do the job. I would also add a request for management training, either from a mentor in the company or external consultant.
