Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups the Beer Friends Forever shirt and I will buy this law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect. I believe (and I think she would agree) that Ashli Babbit getting shot for trying to storm the capitol building is neither shocking nor tragic. It’s the logical consequences of her own actions. But the way the argument is framed, the same logic applies to black guys getting shot by police. Flip the argument around, and “let’s keep that same energy”, right? A totally legitimate right-wing take would be: “Sure, shoot ’em all! Ashli Babbit was trying to storm the capitol, those black guys were refusing to comply with police, they all deserved to get shot! We agree!”

Beer Friends Forever shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

We all saw it. The cop warned all of them to stop or he would shoot and she ignored the Beer Friends Forever shirt and I will buy this warning and kept breaking in. So he did his duty. I get sick of Magas trying to whitewash it. She got shot while rioting. Anyone that gets shot while rioting loses any martyr status they may have gained if the crowd had stayed at the protest level. Once someone escalates it to a riot, all bets of survival are off. Law and order didn’t apply for Ferguson but it does now!?! Wait which one does OP condone? Justified killings of babbitt, brown et al or is it unjustified? Can’t have one without the other. Not to mention the “I’ll die for Trump” rhetoric died with her the moment police units with assault rifles start yelling to get on the floor after they witnessed someone get plugged. Interesting how that works.
