Money doesn’t buy happiness, but it does eliminate alot of the Because sometimes reality just isn’t enough girl read books T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this blockages to happiness. (Fear of survival, social status/respect, time for leisure etc etc) These don’t go together, one is rooted in selfishness (fiduciary obligations) the other is rooted in empathy, how it affects other things.. Any particular reason you made mindfulness the opposite of capitalism? One has absolutely nothing to do with the other. Because people need to buy things to decrease stress, which makes it hard to teach mindfulness when all they can think about is bills People need stuff (thus have stress) under capitalism, they also will most assuredly will still need things (still stress) under a communistic/socialistic alternative. I think you have beef with capitalism and incorrectly believe you can use mindfulness to push an economic policy when in truth your premise is nonsensical from the start… no offense. Mindfulness does not mean stress free. Quite the opposite, actually. Mindfulness can give you the sense of control that oh the mind is what creates happiness and it does. But the mind is very affected by circumstances and your personal way knowledge and skills and mood and how it deals with things. And you are going to be affected by it at some point. For example when you’re mind says it is the mind that creates happiness so I have control you have been affected by that thought. Mindfulness won’t make it so that you’re never going to be dissatisfied or doubtful or angry anymore. That ‘s an illusion we have sometimes while really we’re just in a good confident mood. All material things are temporary and come and go.I never worried about money and things, but have lots of stuff anyways.I trained my two girls young, to understand the true nature of this reality matrix, by taking them on arduous hiking trips. They found out first hand how little we need to survive, by taking their essentials on their back with them. Both girls discovered how tough they are as well.Food, water, clothing, and basic shelter is all we require, and that costs almost nothing, if you are just surviving. They are now both doctors, and still have minimal material needs. We are brainwashed into wanting things that we don’t need and are mostly useless.Meditate on that thought and how little we require to be happy.Yogananda taught us that the universe always provides for us anyway, and I own lots of expensive things, that mean almost nothing to me, and my minimalistic offspring, don’t want any of it either. At the end of your life you won’t be thinking of your material possessions, because they will mean nothing to you, compared to your health and family, and that is a universal truth, repeated constantly over mankind’s history.

Start by acknowledging that most people will find it far easier to live lives of ease, pleasure and deep personal meaning given ready access to material resources and the Because sometimes reality just isn’t enough girl read books T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this services of others. Then point out why that’s not going to be enough. Unless your born rich, if you don’t develop the mindset you won’t develop the money and therefore wont develop the happiness. If somehow you do make the money without the mindset you won’t be happy. (Trust me, I was the last one) Food, shelter and other practicalities are helped by having some money. But, beyond a point there is only so much that is needed to satisfy our hedonistic and material needs. Within us, their are aspects of ourselves that must derive adaptation or satisfaction with things, words like idealism, higher psychological evolution cover the ground. This was the gist of what Dr Ainslie Meares wrote about his cohort of meditators followed for decades. Like children grow up so can the mind and when it does it grows into areas beyond hedonism and materialism. This is discussed at length in some of his many books and in Still Mind Sound Body. Money is required for survival. But once you’ve got that under control more money does not guarantee you anything.
