I like seeing strong female leads destroy the badguy. My first female character was in monster hunter, and ill be damned if she looks way more badass than any of the dudes ive built in that game! For a good start at getting out of intellectual dead end for dullards with no imagination a good start is to go and look up things like “Theory of Mind” Idk. I never thought about it. Most male characters in games look and act the same. I also grew up with a lot of women, so I guess I gravitate more towards women? I also think uniqueness plays a part too. Most male characters you can edit or create end up looking the same no matter what. Female characters tend to differ in appearance more which can be a factor when you’re staring at the same character for 40+ hours. Some guys prefer to have a female figure to watch for the many hours of playtime. Female ass vs guy ass basically. Most of us don’t care about being represented in a video game and will play whatever cause it’s about a characters values and morals that you should look up to a character for, not what their body looks like. I don’t identify with my character, so I just pick one that looks the best to me. That’s generally a female character.

Otherwise it is purely a preference of who you pick. {Casual} – If gender has no barring on gameplay or isn’t just the character’s default gender. Then it’s 100% just a preference. I heard from a lot of guys they just like playing a woman. For what reason varies so nothing unanimous.
