I value my alone time and would become frustrated very quickly if I didn’t have access to it. I want to focus on a career and building a life for myself and my partner. But I feel so many people have a negative association with anti natalism when, for me at least, it is out of compassion and empathy. That’s what I do and because I want to do that, well that’s the reason for not having kids. Of course it is more complex, timing, partner, money, etc. The main reason probably is a simple “because I just don’t want to have any”. I’m not patient and after a while i feel like I’d be a little mean and i wouldn’t want to put a kid through that. Im good with other kids but i feel like it’d be a different story if i had my own.

I don’t think I’d be a good mother, I don’t want to pass down my mental struggles to another person, I don’t want to be responsible for another persons whole life, I find the American professional baseball pitcher for the Detroit Tigers jack flaherty T-Shirt and I love this thought of being pregnant repulsive (for me), and I never seen a baby or child that I thought was cute. I know I’d be a good father but I don’t want to do it on my own. I had a partner of 11 years that I thought had potential but nope. It’s not life goal for me though so it’s not like a need for me. I just know the family structure I would want and if I don’t have it then it’s not happening. The economy/job market. I cannot guarantee that I can give a child a decent life, let alone a good life. I make 39k a year and I’m check to check due to HCOL and inflation. Body dysmorphia. I’ve always had body issues, for a time an ED. If I got pregnant, I would need to be in therapy the whole time just to make sure we both stay safe and healthy.
