Can someone explain why you won’t just use the Always a we never a me shirt and I will buy this native Reddit app? A friend showed me the app he was using, and there are very few differences between it and the native app. The biggest difference I noticed was his app had some useless pet features. I’m always confused when people talk about adds or needing to use apps. I use an adblocker VPN on my phone and browse without ads. It is really nice. Used to I would report/block the ads, but then Reddit made it so you could still see ads from blocked accounts. VPN is the way. Maybe I’m missing something here but just use the regular phone app? I use it (didn’t even know third party apps existed) and it’s fine. Yes you are missing a lot here. Try third party apps like Sync or Boost.. they have tons of customisation options, nice and clean UI and the best thing is they don’t show ads at all.

The official app feels like an overdone adhd fidget app. I just want white and black text in a simple ui The official app is ok. The third party apps have more features and customization while being easier to use and no ads. Switching from a good third party app to the official one is jarring and by comparison the official app sucks. They’d rather kill these apps than improve their own mediocre one
