I’m 48 and my #1 is skin care. Hydrated, plump, smooth and glowing skin is my priority. I don’t wear a base and when I do wear makeup, they are cream and liquid formulas; natural finishes only. Matte formulas only dry out my skin and make me look older. Unless you are purposefully going for a dramatic smoky eye look, heavy black eyeliner on the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this bottom lid immediately ages you. I see lots of ladies stuck in the 80s who still do this. Maybe if you have lighter features, but if you have dark hair and eyes and a mid to dark skin tone it’s pretty natural looking and complementary (as long as you’re not going goth-heavy but that can also look cool, too). Avoid powder under the eyes!! Unless you’re anticipating a long, highly photographed day- forego the under eye powder and you’ll avoid creasing, caking, and attention being drawn to the fine lines. I also no longer apply foundation to my forehead and I think it’s made a difference. All this to say everyone has different skin & makeup preferences; looking older isn’t necessarily a bad thing and I know lots of middle age + women who look their age and are absolutely stunning with and without makeup. I’d say my tips are less about mistakes that age a look, rather ways to take some focus off sensitive areas (:
All The Otter Reindeer Shirt: Unleash Your Inner Fighter
Omitting powder under the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this eyes is more likely to cause creasing because the concealer won’t set, so it’ll settle into fine lines and bunch up. Too much powder defo can exacerbate creasing and dryness causing “cracks” but I think the key is to find a happy medium, i.e. powder very lightly. It also depends on your skin type. If you have very dry undereyes and/or no fine lines, you probably can get away without powdering. If you have normal to oily skin and/or lines under the eyes, powder is usually necessary! Not for me. Everytime I use powder the creasing and cracking is so much worse by the end of my work day, and that’s with the Givenchy powder The reverse is true for me! In fact, even in the few minutes between putting concealer under my eyes and setting it, I have to tap out creases that have formed.
I wish using powder didn’t make my undereyes look dryer than the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this Sahara by day’s end. At least if I don’t use powder I can tap out any creasing during the day.. the last time I set my undereye and saw my makeup after work I was like, never again. I don’t know why but powder doesn’t play well with my skin One trick I’ve heard (though not tried personally) to set your undereyes without powder is to spray setting spray on a powder puff and pat/press that into the concealer I’m a makeup artist and one of my teachers taught me that you can’t wait for more than seconds to powder your undereye area, so the best thing to do is to have your concealer & powder ready, put a decent amount of powder on your ring finger on each hand then apply your concealer. IMMEDIATELY follow this with the powder on your fingers. Works every time. I don’t even put concealer under my eyes anymore! I know a lot of people prefer to utilize it that way, but limiting the overall amount of products I use under my eye keeps me looking fresher

When people go overboard with makeup thinking they need to apply every product from their vanity on their face it’s important to learn how to balance it. For instance, if you’re going for strong eye makeup, lip makeup should be lighter and vice versa. Many people are unaware of blush placement I’ve seen people using it all over their face when they should be using it to contour or on the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this higher areas of the face to enhance the look. I’m a fan of the clean beauty or nude makeup look, mastering skills on that look can make you appear younger. And finding your undertones is a key aspect if you want to enhance your features and achieve a balanced and harmonious look. I think dewy>matte and cream/liquid>powder goes a long way to getting a more youthful look. The only powder products I use now are setting powder and eyeshadow. I top my eyeshadow with a shimmer so my crepey eyelids aren’t as apparent. Also, our eyelashes get thinner and straighter as we age, so use an eyelash curler and lengthening mascara, because thickening mascara weighs the lashes down. Eyebrows get thinner too, so fill them in.
I find that dewy makeup highlights every pore and wrinkle on my face. Overly matte is also no good. A satin finish is best for my skin. Too much concealer under eyes. I’ve done this today by mistake I thought I could blend it away, but I had to redo my makeup, it looked awful Yes!!! I also noticed my concealer stopped creasing when I stopped piling it on. I just take the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this doe foot and dab it on my palette and that’s all I need for both eyes. Even $7 Maybelline Fit Me doesn’t crease because it’s applied in thin layers but still covers by dark circles. I think the biggest culprit is a heavy foundation. Too much foundation, or heavy full cover baked foundation. Also, powdered under eye area makes most people look tired and older because dry skin under eyes can wrinkle easily from dehydration and dryness.
I think it’s hard for a lot of folks to get away from this. Back in the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this day it was allllllll about matte products There’s a lady on TikTok called erika something that has tips for ladies to adapt their makeup to their aging features. She’s def worth a look! If you don’t have TikTok she may be on insta too. She’s very basic about her looks also so don’t worry she shouldn’t intimidate you with super extra makeup. The wrong skincare, not exfoliating often enough. Over doing the makeup. Not using the right colours or shades that complement your skin colour and features. Heavy mascara application. Thick false eyelashes. Too much setting powder can accentuate fine lines and draw attention to what you are trying to hide. Full coverage foundation can look heavy and again draw attention to your fine lines. Finding a good setting spray.
As your skin matures, less is more with makeup in my opinion. You have to try to find a balance between your skincare and makeup. Which can be a bit of work. I really love K-Beauty skincare. So I stick mostly to that. I do use retinol at night and vitamin C serums during the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this day. I have normal to dry skin. I stopped washing my face in the mornings since I was 17-18yrs old. My skin is normal to dry. I found washing my face in the morning would dry out my skin. I use a toner & essence several times a week. I have a problem with consistency with those 2 skincare products. I’m consistent with facial oils and serums. I use a good moisturizer. + 3 layers of K-Beauty SPF. … This is where you have to be careful. Too many layers of skincare can make your makeup look off or even slide off your face. I use medium to light foundations. Serum foundations are my favourite personally. I use a light contour & or bronzer. I only recently got into blush 3-4yrs ago. I always thought it would look funny on me so I never used it till 3-4yrs ago. I use a pink setting powder under my eyes. I love the Huda Cherry Blossom powder. Unfortunately it burns my eyeballs out. So I bought O/S pink powder. It’s nice and doesn’t burn my eyes. However I preferred how the Huda Cherry Blossom powder looked under my eyes.
Sometimes I don’t use foundations at all. I’ll use a tinted SPF … I recently tried the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this ELF tinted SPF and I was surprised. It looks great. All American & Canadian SPF’s burn my eyes. So this was the first that didn’t burn my eyes. I use medium to light brown eyeliner on my lash line. I can’t get anything on my water line. So I’ve given up on that. .. I use a lash primer and just enough mascara. I have terrible little Asian eyelashes. Nothing can help them. I can’t use powder under my eyes. If I use a small amount of a serum concealer I don’t get creasing, but as soon as I add powder it looks super dry and really accentuates all my fine lines. I also had to stop using matte products and switch to dewy/glowy products. For me, too heavy eye makeup. My bags & dark circles have gotten worse as I’ve aged, and lots of eyeshadow and/or heavy liner makes my eyes look like black holes.
Depending on skin concerns, matte foundation can really highlight lines & wrinkles. This is speaking from my personal experience. I’m 59 & have dry skin. I have to moisturize like crazy and especially so if I’m going to wear foundation. I think in general that really heavy, very thick matte foundation and concealer. Even if your skin is young it adds weight and age IMO. However, I have a friend with a very large, very dark port wine birthmark on her face and she uses Dermablend and it looks like her skin, without the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this birthmark. People would think this makeup would be too heavy and add age, but it honestly does not, somehow. I try to brighten up my eye area (very fair, so I use a really light pink color corrector with a bright concealer that’s mixed with moisturing eye cream) and it wakes up my whole face
Dark eyeshadow/black Smokey eye or too much black eyeliner. Dark brown is so underrated, you don’t need black everything. Brown mascara too! Matte foundation with not a great skin complexion. Unless you have a great base, matte foundation is going to highlight every line or pore. It’s better to use it in areas you want the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this shine to tone down. Not all over the face. Unflattering shape/ Sharpie brows. Having unnatural shaped brows can really age someone. Brows are the frames of your face. It can totally transform someone. Over contouring. Contour shade itself is of gray/brown tone. It’s point it to mimic a shadow when blended. Some ppl go way over board and it ages them instead of enhancing. Eyebrows that aren’t shaped like eyebrows. For example, I was on a date once and noticed our waitress had eyebrows that arched like the mcdonalds M. My date said those were old people eyebrows. Not knowing what color and makeup styles suits your facial features. Sometimes full glam can make someone look older and dull, on others it looks well. Sometimes “natural” can look underwhelming on some and others look better. You should be the one wearing makeup not the makeup wearing you. Eternal commitment to the same style that was popular when you were a teen or young adult. I shouldn’t be able to look at your makeup choices and guess what year you graduated high school. I’m 39 and I have peers who are still over plucking their brows and wearing eyeliner on their bottom lid. We don’t have to do the fake freckles and button nose thing that’s popular now (I know I could never pull that off) but it’s a good idea to adapt to trends a bit at least…
Any amount of waterline eyelining makes me look so old! Also matte/lipsticks, lipsticks that are frosty, blush placement that’s too low, un filled in/thin brows, heavy foundations, and not using a medium/matte color to carve out my eye crease a little (eye can look more puffy if I don’t have it). A little self tanner (I use the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this discontinued Charlotte Tilbury overnight tanning mask which adds just a hint of color) helps a lot too. In my opinion, drawing on extremely angled eyebrows looks rather aging. But mostly, it’s the skin laxity or fillers underneath makeup that usually betray age. My question exactly! I have the Elf Pink setting powder for under eyes, but I think it makes fine lines worse. What are your thoughts on? When I hit 40 I realized the combo of dry skin and trying to use a full coverage and matte foundation was making me look tired and accentuated every flaw. I also had to start doing my eye makeup differently, as my facial volume had changed and took with it the largeness of my eyes. It is really jarring how quickly my face changed and how much I had to adjust. Dewy glowy make up and lottttts of moisturizer made a world of difference
Still placing contour/blush as if you’re 20. Everything needs to be higher than you think. Also if your eyes are starting to hood as is common in aging, you need to change your shadow placement too Women often wear orange toned lipstick which only makes their teeth look yellow. Blue toned reds lipstick will make their teeth look whiter. When you get older, women should tone down their makeup and make it look more natural. If a woman is fair, she should stick with brownish-black mascaras and brown eyeliners instead of harsh black mascara and eyeliner. 2016 make up styles, like full coverage foundation with lots of contour, highlights and bronzer. Half crease eyeshadow looks. There is nothing wrong with these looks but nobody that is young does them. It has already been said I think but too much. Less really IS more for an every day look. I say this All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this in particular about face/base makeup… Foundation/concealer/bronzer/contour/highlighter…
For me personally, lipsticks. Any colour other than the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this colour that’s close to my natural lips. Also, heavy foundation and bronzer because I’m a liiiitttleee bit on the pale side Lipstick that is too dark for your complexion. It makes your lips look smaller and older! Using three shades of dark eyeshadow with a glittery highlighter to top it off.
I saw a lot of older people refusing lucky money for a bit before taking it so I know that is a thing but my friend seemed to take it to an extreme? Background: I stayed with him in Da Lat 5 years ago for a month or two in exchange for me helping him with his English a couple hours a day. Then I stayed with his parents for Tet that same year. I came back to visit him and his parents in Bao Loc this year for Tet but stayed at a little hotel around the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this corner. I had asked some of his family and friends if I should give him lucky money and they all said no. I asked if a bottle of whiskey would be good and they said yes. So I gave him a bottle of whiskey (Johnnie Walker Black if you care). The first thing he says is “oh, I don’t like this, I only like Vietnamese wine” which I thought was a weird thing to say. I know he liked it because he brought out the same bottle at his house 5 years ago when a bunch of his friends were over, and everyone seemed happy.
Next thing he insists on me taking it because he can’t drink it because it is 40% and he can only drink 30% and 40% alcohol is too strong for him. I knew it was BS and just let it ride and told him to just put half coke or soda water and half whiskey and then it is 20% and the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this topic changed and wasn’t brought up again while he was here (he went back to Da Lat yesterday). Today I went to return a plate, bowl and some utensils I borrowed from his parents since my room didn’t have those things. I called him to tell him to let his mom I was coming over and it started again. He was insisting I took it back. I just said no and went to the house. His mom took the dishes from me and motioned for me to come in. She then tried to give me back the bottle. Now, I am not upset with her because I know he told her to do it. So, it goes on for at least a minute, it felt like forever, of me refusing to take it back and her insisting I do. She eventually grabs my arm and puts my hand to the bottle, so I make a fist and she keeps insisting. She then starts to pry open my fist and forcibly push the bottle into my hand. I can only fight against an 80-year-old woman so long so I eventually took it back knowing that I will see my friend in a couple weeks and be able to give it back to him, but I still feel like shit that I took back a gift I gave. If it was my friend instead of his mom, I would have never taken it back.In Vietnam, especially in rural area, what you described is common. You almost need to fight in order to pay small bills or give little gifts. But no worry, when it’s about big money amount, nobody will ever fight against you, quite the opposite actually…
I plan on giving it back to him next time I see him. Is that OK? The only reason I took it back in the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this first place was because it was his mom whom he told to give it back to me and I felt so strange arguing with an 80+ year old woman. If you’re considered close friends, you’ll have a hard time giving them anything. When you’re close, you fight to pay the bill. It felt over the top but it might really be that he doesn’t drink it. So why not tell him to gift it to someone else. Or you gift it to someone else. Maybe gift them something more practical that they would use. Not too expensive so they don’t feel like they owe you Like I said, his friends and brother and sister in law said it was a good gift to give him. Also, like I said, I know he liked it five years ago when he brought the exact same bottle out to drink with a bunch of friends he had over. Was it the bottle? Or did he use the bottle to store his own alcohol? No matter the reason, don’t know why he’s so strong willed to give back to you. But honestly just leave it there if you don’t want to take back. Vietnamese are weird, took me awhile to understand my parents and i still don’t get them sometimes. I’d give them money and they say no but still take it. Then later on want me to give them money but whenever i try to pay for things they feel bad etc. very roundabout ways to give anything
You said he liked it 5 years ago. That’s enough time for him to change his habit/hobby. Or maybe he’s developed a medical condition that requires him to give up drinking to stay healthy. Either way I think you should leave it at that. Don’t worry about having to gift him something else. He knows that you value his friendship. It’s the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this thought that counts, isn’t it? Oh. Then maybe he doesn’t want you to have to spend a lot of money on a gift for him. The same thing happens when I give my grandma lucky money at Tet. I give her 500k VND, and she will try to give it back to me, or if I don’t take it back, she will give me 100k VND (even though I have grown up and got a job) and my 2 siblings (still in university) 200k each.
Yeah, I understand that but when I gave him 500k to give to his sister from me he was ok with taking it for her. I stayed at her house with him but he makes more money than her and I am pretty sure he paid for all the All The Otter Reindeer Shirt in contrast I will get this food when I was staying with them. The bottle was only a little bit more than the same amount I gave him to give to his sister. Cool, That makes it easy. I’ll bring you a bottle of whiskey next time I spend a week with you and your family. So you would say this is strange even in Vietnamese culture? It seemed so over the top crazy to me even after witnessing some people putting up a fight about accepting gifts for Tet. I mean, I sometimes do some minor refusal act for the sake of being polite. But acting like your friend is a bit too much.
