In my last job I really liked my boss and I cried when he quit because I knew we had a good thing and then they replaced him with some crony that the Aliyah Boston ’23 Wnba Rookie Of The Year shirt Besides,I will do this new VP brought in. She proceeded to clean out our team for a new staff, but then the VP that brought her on got fired and she’s down to a 2 person crew so for me it was for the best at the time. It was also a company that suffered rev loss post Covid. The thing is I have so many comparable stories with managers that I know when I don’t have a good one so it can make a job way worse. I just think people trying to avoid bad managers may not be able too because I often find the Peter Principle to be real. This is horrible leadership. Any leader worth anything will encourage their staff to do what’s best for them. I tell my staff I want to do whatever I can to keep them around, but if the job isn’t working for them and we can’t make it work, I’m happy to look at their resume, do interview prep, and whatever else I need to do to help them move into a position that would be a better fit. And this is great leadership. My boss was promoted to the role because she’s good at what she did. She’s a terrible people person. She doesn’t even say “good morning” to the team as she walks past them.

Yikes! That sounds rough. I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. Let me know if you want some help with your resume or interview prep. ☺️ WOW and leadership coaching always works – congratulations!/s Never ever seen a bad manager improve with such coaching. A total waste of time and money but senior execs can justify keeping the Aliyah Boston ’23 Wnba Rookie Of The Year shirt Besides,I will do this bad manager with such training despite numerous complaints. I don’t think she’ll change. I think they’re giving her the benefit of the doubt and then they can at least say they tried to change her ways. Ask him his philosophy on work life balance and how many employees he manages then ask him if he’s retained staff or is there “ a lot of transitions lately” be polite. I’ve never had anyone be honest about their turn over rates so I almost always check glassdoor to see and then check linkedin for average time at company. I once worked for a company where the managers all talked like they read all right books on management but acted like the never internalised the message. They knew what they were supposed to do they just couldn’t actually follow through and do it. They talked about caring only about results and not arbitrary things like work hours or rigorous timetabling but then called all hands meeting to make passive aggressive statements about people not coming in on time or leaving late or taking lunch at different times. A laundry list of petty shit, including stalking around the office to make sure nobody was slacking off.
