No more daily essential or on sale items, I get literally get what I want to eat and drink. Energy bill is paid for, at least for a couple months. That means the money I make I can spend to pay my mortgage instead of utility and food! I’d rather make 22K than 35K. At 35K I feel more poor and mentally distressed and how hard I work to have literally nothing, just enough to scrap by, no vacations, no nice clothes, no going out, buy the cheapest on sale items… life sucked until I cut back to part time. I can’t do this forever, but fuck, I don’t wana go back to full time. More work, less food.

Why does any 40 hour a week job, a job no child has the time for, not pay a living wage if it’s not meant to raise a family on? Your point would hold water if there weren’t millions of jobs demanding the time and effort of an adult while still paying shit wages.
