A good friend of mine is widowed and in her 60’s. She exists off of mixed nuts, bagels with cream cheese and premade meals from the Alabama Crimson Tide Vintage Big Al Shirt besides I will buy this grocery store. Another friend and family does almost entirely what they can find at Costco and Sam’s club that only requires heating. Frozen meals. Like bechamel lasagna. Or chicken pie, Sheppard’s pie. There are these cheese stuffed chickens that are pretty good. Noodles, dumplings, fries, chicken nuggets, burgers, pasta, all premade or frozen. There’s prob more tho. I do a lot of simple cooking I have a family with kids who eat a lot and we eat pretty healthily. So I cook every meal every day. We also maintain a garden so I can use our own ingredients. I prefer to have control over ingredient quality in general and don’t trust fast food or take out with that. I don’t understand how people afford to not cook honestly unless they’re just not eating much/are single. I do weekly meal prepping. So I do cook from scratch, but just reheat portions during the week. Makes it much easier. Mostly working here, 2 jobs consumes most my hours so quick foods that last long/days,stew,chili ,sandwiches especially peanut butter and jelly/jams , cereal sometimes (milk is $10), fruits , eggs and soup , etc… not much ingredients needed. Nothing better then fresh food, but tons of people eat from frozen, very cheap especially in today’s fast food market.
