This way Disney can never be sued in future if somebody applied and got the trademark. Yes this all sounds ridiculous and convoluted but this is the only part of the logic that makes any positive sense other than just plain corporate greed. the audacity to think they can just trademark a Mexican holiday like that, you can’t trademark Christmas or Halloween y the fuck did they think they could with a Mexican holiday? Remember that when covid came and the world was about to end, the rich gathered and agreed on one thing, to keep copyright rules and never ease them. today you figured out what a truly sleezy company disney is, and that corporations will attempt to take control of everything if you let them

Wanna point out it’s actually Día de Muertos, no los, it’s an overgeneralization imposed on the Alabama Crimson Tide this is my team forever mascots shirt and by the same token and reverse translation from English back into Spanish after the original Spanish to English. Disney, Apple, and Nintendo are the worst at this garbage. Wouldn’t be surprised if Apple buys the other two out. White people in a nutshell- trademark a holiday and food that doesn’t belong to us, and try to turn it into a way to make money. Disney is the most evil corporation in the world because what they want to own is the ontological concepts in your fucking mind. They don’t just create a cool thing and then you start thinking about it. They take things that already exist and Disney-ify it so that they can own culture itself.
