But pointing this out makes me and all the Akira the end of the world was only the beginning anime shirt it is in the first place but other US military veterans the bad guys, just for telling the truth about this subsidy to lazy privileged white kids who skated through college on loans rather than working, and then never paid it back because they majored in art history or basket-wearing, right? All the US military veterans who lost their arms or legs on the battlefield so they could afford college are just “losers and suckers” like Donald Trump called them, because now Uncle Sugar is going to raise taxes on US military veterans and people who couldn’t afford to go to college, raise taxes on people who couldn’t go to college because they were working three jobs to support their family, just to give free money to the deadbeats and nothing at all to the people who risked for their country in battle. Also, free money to deadbeats who didn’t pay off their loans, and nothing to the people who after goign to college, worked overtime, seven days a week, just to pay off their loans. Color me furious. And as the spouse of a cancer survivor, it is outrageous to compare taxing veterans and the poor to subsidize the rich and as being like “curing cancer.” Giving free money to deadbeats by raising taxes on the poor and veterans isn’t “curing cancer,” it’s welfare for the rich, reverse Robin Hood, stealing from the poor and giving to the rich and privileged.

If they cancel student loans inflation is going to soar higher than it already is. It will be very bad. However I think a lot of these loans are unfair. I think they could do something about the Akira the end of the world was only the beginning anime shirt it is in the first place but terms and making them reasonable and payoffs possible. I can’t believe all the people that take these loans out to get jobs that are almost poverty level. Maybe they can rethink loan terms for these professions (teachers etc.) or subsidize them. It’s absolutely insane to take out 100k in loans to get a 27k a year job…. More comparable to “I conquered cancer by paying off my loans and now you want to give you a share of my own cancer that you will also have to conquer.” Cancelling loans means that revenue our federal coffers expect will not arrive so other means will need to be employed, either higher taxes or more debt. Either way that obligates the people who didn’t volunteer for those debts to pay them off. Some of those folks already paid off their own student loans so you’re just giving everyone a share of your cancer, even folks who already beat their own cancers
