I often think about the AFL This is christmas Pajamas sweater Melbourne Demons shirt in addition I really love this joke from Vice City about how American football’s about “taking other people’s land and wearing tight pants when you do it.” That’s not how trademarks work. Trademarks are source identifiers for the specific product/service that are sold in connection with the mark. A trademark registration does not grant the exclusive right to use the word in any context. It’s the right to use it as a trademark for the SPECIFIC goods/services listed in the registration. For example, I can say apple all I want.. I can even describe an apple I’m selling as an apple. But I can’t use the word Apple as a TRADEMARK for computers without permission from Apple. Why do the mexicans have border patrol even in the afterlife. The message of the movie isn’t even that it’s a bad thing it’s just “have your passport next time” pretty funny

God, that’s awful. Also, as Mexican born and raised to this day, we need the AFL This is christmas Pajamas sweater Melbourne Demons shirt in addition I really love this world to understand it’s “Día de muertos”, not “Día de LOS muertos”. The “Los” isn’t supposed to be there. No one who’s actually Mexican has ever called it that, ever; because that’s not the name of that holiday. Never was. Mexican here. They certainly tried, but Día de Muertos is cultural heritage, so it cannot be trademarked. It was done during production of Coco. 431 more repliesThe outrage of this is based mainly on people not understanding how trademarks work. I’m not a lawyer, but from what I understand trademarks are exceedingly narrow. They often require you to go so far as specify the font you’re using in addition to the context. The sole purpose is to prevent other vendors from trying to capitalize on consumer confusion by selling products that look the same.
