Fascist dictator-wannabe faces off with multinational corporation that owns entire towns and makes its own laws… The good guy would be whoever broadcasts a cage match between DeSantis and whoever the AFL This is christmas Pajamas sweater Fremantle Dockers shirt besides I will buy this CEO of Disney is this week. This needs to be a regular thing. There is one good guy here and it’s the queer community that Disney’s lipservice for kickstarted. Like… that’s why the fight started, Disney said something moderately positive about queer people and DeSantis lost his fucking mind. Disney “losing” is not a good thing, no matter how much I want them to burn. Agreed, the appropriate answer is Disney win the fight with DeSantis, and then lose unrelated but important fights. It’s all the more infuriating given that most of Disney’s most memorable movies are adaptations of traditional stories in the public domain God, corpos are the worst. Can you imagine what a dick you have to be to try and trademark a holiday like Dia de Los Muertos or taco Tuesday. But seriously, culture, all cultures, are not up for trademark. They belong to the people. Taco bell won the fight in all 50 states. Taco John’s gave up the fight in July, freeing it up in 49 states, and the other company in New Jersey, some bar by the shore, gave up like a month ago. Funnily enough, the recent attempt for them to un trade mark it was partnering up with local restaurants for cross premonition. Like, you get a coupon from taco bell, for the lil mom and pop shop down the road

That’s definitely the AFL This is christmas Pajamas sweater Fremantle Dockers shirt besides I will buy this more egregious version of this move. Taco Bell actually sells tacos so they have an interest in the trademark or its removal. LeBron was just being a greedy corporate prick because he got some likes on Instagram. I think they won it, I believe taco Johns only owns the trademark for New Jersey now and the rest of the states are free to use it. Trademark, not copyrighted, it is different. You can use magenta, you wont be breaching any laws or anything, its not a violation just to use the colour. Trademark means more in the sense of, you cant commercialise a product/service in the same field as T-Mobile’s products and services, while also using the exact shade of magenta as your brand identity. So you can sell books with the colour magenta, it’s alright, but if you started providing wireless carrier services with magenta as your main colour, then T Mobile has a case against you as it can be interpreted that you are trying to deceive people into thinking you are T Mobile even if you are not T Mobile isn’t the only one who has trademarked a colour. Many companies do. Coca Cola’s red is trademarked. It is fine if you sell chocolates with that red, no one will confuse that with being Coca Cola, but if you sell a black soda in a transparent plastic bottle with a cap of that exact shade of red, anyone is gonna think that is Coke yk and buy it thinking they are buying Coke, even though you are not Coca Cola. That’s the logic here, that people associate the colour with this particular brand of product so much that if you use the same colour for selling the same product, you are kinda banking on people buying your product based off of the assumption they are buying the real thing
