I don’t want to put another human being through the ACDC Pwr Up Tour 51st Anniversary 1973-2024 Thank You For The Memories Signatures shirt in addition I really love this same. It is only recently that I’m enjoying my freedom financially and professionally. I see my friends who had kids struggle so much, it just hurts me. Most of them clearly weren’t ready and only had a kid because it was expected of them. For that and many such reasons, I’m better off without kids. Maybe one day I’ll change my mind, but in case I do, I know I’ll be 100% prepared to have a new life on this earth whom I can provide for. True, better to have kids when you are ready and want to have one, not because of pressure from family / society. Hey to be fair – No parent is ever ready. 60-80%of us had parents like you. I would crib about their parenting style but they did the best they could and I am very happy and grateful that they stretched. I owe all my success and aspirations to them. It took me 30-35 years to acknowledge that they were not bad parents. Honestly, the world around is changing and along with it parenting styles. We crib and compare about global parenting styles now when we have internet. I agree. They had a very small view of the ecosystem and thought that it was normal. My parents are in a better place now, so am I. I heard my friend tell, her colleagues who are 40+ and childless regrets their decisions. There is a feeling they are missing out a part of life or something. Had this conversation long back. No wife or kids. Was in a very short-lived (months) marriage and getting out of it was an ordeal filled with anxiety, stress, tension and what not. I love my boring and peaceful life, just the way it was before marriage. So many things to explore and learn in life even as (or especially because?) an introvert. No regrets so far.

Those boring days are the best haha. Finally a good logical debate here. Male 45. Never been married. No kids. Used to work in IT for 16 years. Quit my job and now I am on the farm. I personally think that the earth is not growing in size while people are growing. I am a scientist. I just can’t ignore data and do what ever I want. I don’t regret having kids for he following reasons. Childhood for Indian kids in cities has ended. They don’t know the meaning of a child due to the size, scale, pollution, crime and expensive on top of it. Unhealthy parents give birth to unhealthy babies. My generation has multitude of health problems ourselves. Imagine giving birth to a child who is allergic, auto immune and has to be taken to the hospital every week.
