This is a valuable lesson not only for OP but for everyone as that’s how Insurance companies act especially in India. Now the only service centers that are still active are run by greedy scum who lack any sort of motive to care for customers.

I had a battery defect in my redmi mobile and one showroom in bangalore said that my battery warranty had expired and I’ll have to pay 2k for replacement. 2 months later, I went to another service centre in Hyderabad and they repaired it for free. (My phone was still under warranty, but the battery warranty had expired, they opened my phone and said it wasn’t a faulty battery but faulty wiring near the battery) Not yet. I got the headphones from these idiots today only. I am thinking of going to another service centre as well but I am afraid they’ll say the same things as now the service sheet is already generated for my headphones and they have put “Out of Warranty” in it. Dude go to a better service centre in your city if possible. I have the wcf-500 I had battery issues a week after my warranty expired after using the earphones for more than a year and they were still kind enough to give me a replacement with a new one.
