Happily married but after having our first kids it honestly amazes me my wife was willing to ever let me touch her again much less have a second. Pretty delusional to think child birth wouldn’t be far more painful. Pretty sure there’s a pretty important part she forgot to read where God got pushed Eve was seduced by the serpent and told her from then on out it was gonna be a bitch giving birth. What would really convince her is if she had the kind of labour I had the second time – no pain during labour at all. I had contractions. My body was working but there was no cramping. No doctor/nurse even asked me. They just assumed I was hurting I guess. They did wonder about my apparent calm. (It went very fast. I realized at 5 that I might be in labour and had twins an hour and a half later.) I’ve only heard of one other person this happened to. She also had twins. I had my second at home and it was not pain free, but definitely the far better experience (for me)- it’s going to be different for everyone.
