I don’t see how this is inherently an issue, the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this metric system has a lot of convenient scientific definitions and ways of being measured, why go to the trouble of making separate ones for the imperial system when you can just multiply by a constant These definitions are retroactive so that there is no disagreement between two, what used to be entirely separate systems of measurement with different (usually actually physical objects) base units; without any exact way to convert between the two. Now; imperial is defined in terms of metric, but while trying to be as close to the old units as possible, to avoid confusion. The Imperial system was established in 1824, after the metric system, to standardize the mess that existed before that. US Customary Units were adopted in 1832. The two reconciled the yard and pound in 1959.
2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt details
The foot is also defined using metric measurements and so is the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this inch, it really is just metric but less convenient to calculate with. The way you can tell someone isn’t American is when they think we actually use the yard. It’s pretty much only used in football and other sports, we think it’s an awkward middle measurement with not many purposes. Like nobody would ever say “I’m one yard and 33 inches tall” or “My apartment is 150 square yards” Freedom units were created because pirates raided a ship that was bringing metric stuff overseas to the newly formed US. No. It’s more like they never got the chance to be introduced. The congress would still probably preferred the imperial system over the metric system, even if the metric stuff hadn’t been thrown away by pirates.
They are literally 2 different measuring systems. Also the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this UK still uses imperial units. So the meme is like quadruple wrong. Yeah, that’s how conversion between 2 measurement systems works, but neither one is based on the other. One yard is based on 3 feet, a foot is based off 12 inches, an inch is based on 3 barley seeds placed lengthwise, and the rest is fractions of 4. The metric system is based on multiples of 10, and of course, there is volume and weight, which in both cases are measured differently from each other and not based on the other measurement system. Hahaha… now I am imagining the variations between a handful of miles all calculated off of different sets of 3 barley seeds. The Imperial system has been redefined as static values of metric measurements for precise conversions, as well as no one questioning the length of an average barley seed
Let buy this 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt
You’re talking about origins and conversion. The yard is defined based on the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this metre. 3 barley seeds would be an incredibly inaccurate definition to use today. The meter was based on the circumference of the earth, specifically a ten-millionth of the length between the north pole and the equator. But because average people can’t just go outside and measure the earth just to have a reference, the meter bar was made. The kilogram was based on the weight of water in a specific volume which is derived from the meter. What better things to base your measurement system on than the planet we live on and the substance that gives us life? So they defined a metre by seeing how long it took light to go 1 metre and then saying that’s the definition of a metre….
Meter was initially an arbitrary* measurement of distance. But for a precise measuring system, it needed to be fixed with a definition with any fundamental constant ( h,c,G). That’s why it’s defined like that. What I mean by arbitrary is that a meter could have been slightly longer/ shorter. The first person who chose this length happened to choose this exact length and could have easily considered a shorter/ longer distance to be a meter. If the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this length of a meter were to be changed, then all the constants derived from this very length will also change, but the system of measurement ( pm, A⁰, um, mm, cm, m, km) will remain in base 10. The meter was originally based on the size of earth but the official meter stick kept changing in size because of temperature changes (even in a perfect chamber it got smaller by a few atoms) so they changed it to use light as a definition based on what the length was exactly at that time
the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this metre likely had a different definition but they changed the definition to be based on fundamental constants of the universe. The problem you have when using the speed of light as a constant is that both distance and time are arbitrarily defined based on something else. It‘s not a problem, if either time or length are defined by another universal constant. Wich is the case. The second is defined by some vibration of Cesium. Or more precisely The second […] is defined by taking the fixed numerical value of the caesium frequency, ΔνCs, the unperturbed ground-state hyperfine transition frequency of the caesium 133 atom, to be 9192631770 when expressed in the unit Hz, which is equal to s−1.
Both the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this speed of light and the unperturbed ground-state hyperfine transition frequency of cesium 133 will never change, thus the meter is accurately defined by both the speed of light and… that frequency The speed of light in a vacuum is fixed so once you do that measurement of how long it takes to go a meter, you can reliably re-create the meter. Just us, Liberia and Burma. Funny though, you never think of those other 2 when you think of countries that have their shit together….. Imperial system is better because it includes nautical miles(2025 yards) which is equal to a minute of latitude. This is extremely important for navigating ships and planes etc. Funny how imperial measurements have been redefined in terms of metric, yet some folks still puff their chest and think that imperial is superior somehow. Literally all of americas infrastructure was made in imperial units ever since its founding. At this point, it could be potentially dangerous and confusing to change everything to metric just to ease European’s superiority complex about units. It’s literally easier to just keep using the well established imperial units here than switch to metric and have weird decimals for everything. I’ll never understand why American’s seem to always default to referring to the rest of the world as Europeans. You know that there are other continents too right? And that they’re also all using Metric? How would it be more exact? You can always have smaller tolerances by decreasing, well, the tolerance. Works equally well with both systems in this case.
Like an inch could be 2.5cm This would automatically make a foot exactly 30cm A yard 90cm And a mile would be 1540 meters.
Lets see what happens to the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this one in China in the middle of a hurricane. Oh? the Chinese one is above ground and not so prone to flooding during once in a hundred year weather events? Just moving this up the chain so more people will see it. LittleBirdLover says it’s ok that China murders Falun Gong practitioners by the millions to sell their organs because she thinks their religion is weird. She also says Uyghur genocide is just self-defense… but she says minorities are safer in China than the U.S. Weird strawman but ok. You’re the one calling cults, minorities and Charles Manson a defender of minority’s rights Lmao. It’s not a weird connection to point out that you think it’s ok for your country to commit genocide against Uyghur people and Falun Gong practitioners, while you speak out against how minorities are treated in the US. It’s very relevant.
No one, including religious minorities, have the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this right to murder other people. Thats why Charles Manson went to prison. Cults that don’t hurt people are free to do whatever they want in the U.S. Cults that don’t hurt American interests are free to operate without persecution. In fact anything that doesn’t hurt American interests is good. It is sickening to see Biden’s complacency in the Palestinian genocide. While America hasn’t taken a stand against it, most Americans (even conservative Americans) recognize that it’s wrong. Do you think China’s genocide of Uyghur people is wrong? What about the murder of 1.5 million religious minorities for the purpose of organ trafficking? I know you can’t really answer those questions or you would be put in prison and on the organ sale list right next to the Falun Gong practitioners.
It’s just strange that you feel the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this need to post these things when you can’t even recognize your own country’s shortcomings without risking your life. I shouldn’t have to explain American politics to an American, but here goes. The reason Biden is complacent is because a vast majority of Americans don’t care. In fact, given the reaction here on Reddit, US media and the political discourse, I’d say most Americans support Israel in wiping out all Palestinians because that benefits American geopolitical interests. Cults aren’t religious minorities. Shouldn’t have to explain more than this lol. Scientology isn’t a minority, nor is NXIVM. Charles Manson and Keith Raniere are not minority rights leaders lol. They are cult leaders. I assumed you must be in China because I couldn’t think of any reason why you would sound so supportive of the Uyghur and Falun Gong genocides. I assumed you were protecting yourself by saying those things, but I guess you are just a genocide supporter… scary.
Yes, Falun Gong and Scientologists are religious minorities. As long as they aren’t murdering people or hurting kids, they’re free to do whatever they want. Some even form militias against the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this federal government. Those have the right to exist too. As long as they aren’t hurting people they’re free to practice their religion. You realize that China is actively engaged in genocide against Uyghurs, right? They also have a well documented problem of killing and selling the organs of Falun Gong practitioners. I foster refugee kids in the US. Many of them fled genocide in their home countries and now they live as minorities in the U.S. Every single one of them will tell you that it’s better to live here. Good for you for fostering. Americans should take at least some responsibility for the countries they’ve destroyed.
A few outspoken Americans advocate for genocide in Palestine and their statements are played over and over again because they’re infuriating. You’re obviously not in the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this U.S., because if you were, you would know that even the most conservative people here recognize that Israel is committing genocide. U.S. policies have really messed up some countries, but the US didn’t destroy my daughters’ countries. I know it’s a popular thing to blame the U.S. for every problem in every country, but some problems were not created by the U.S. Either way, after spending 8 years volunteering with refugee resettlement and two years fostering (and also working on a human rights focused doctorate), I have the experience and credibility to tell you that you are mistaken about minorities being safer in China than the US. Also, Americans don’t give a crap about Israel committing genocide, which at this point is basically an American satellite state. If they did it would be a topic for the polls or the elections, which it isn’t. Still giving them billions of dollars and millions of bombs to continue an American-sanctioned genocide.
Your hatred of the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this U.S. doesn’t make minorities less safe here. You thinking “it’s really more obvious” means nothing. China currently has two million Uyghur people locked up in concentration camps as part of the genocide. In fact, this region of China has the highest incarceration rate on the planet. Yes, Americans do care about the Palestinian genocide, too. There have been massive demonstrations against it. It is a topic in the elections upcoming elections silly billy. If you knew as much about American politics as you act like you do, then you would know this. I’m also sure the many countries that were destroyed by the U.S. are really grateful for you looking out for the Falun Gong lmao. Nice demonstrations. What a more democratic way to change the fact that the U.S. sponsors genocide around the world. I’m sure the Palestinians are really thankful that a handful of people in the US shook their heads in disappointment while the rest of the country cheered it on lmao. You’re the Facepalm OP. China spends billions on infrastructure. I’ve been there many times, and there are some absolutely beautiful public gardens, huge railways with massively impressive buildings, not to mention the impressive landscapes. And the food…my god, the food! You’re picking 1 accident out of the millions of times their subways have run successfully and smoothly lmao get a grip… have you even been to china Sure, looks pretty, but it’s not gonna last 10 years on it’s own weight. Many will die or be injured, people’s means of transport will be cut off, and their barbaric work culture will get people fired because of it.
It’s hard to compare human shit to dog shit. I might be more willing to clean one up, but I’m not wiping anyone’s ass either way. Nice statement, proof? Define what you mean by advanced? Clearly they’re not more advanced when it comes to reliable engineering. You need proof? Maybe actually educate yourself.. Every major city in China is levels beyond US. China is innovating in so many areas. Yes, all claims need proof. That’s how it is in non totalitarian countries that use social points and some of the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this most neglected rural communities in the world. and this dude also doesn’t understand that the money given to israel is entirely spent on the us economy, effectively making it a way for the government to trickle down money into the us economy through israel. Trickle down to the military industrial autocrats. There is no real benefit to the average American. However, there will be layoffs to maintain the stock price if there is no foreign aid to give. Also the packages aren’t literal money, it’s worth equivalent in military equipment…for the most old military equipment that would have been thrown away anyway, but instead of having to disarm munitions and disassemble weaponry it’s given to Ukraine. The US is overall reducing costs long term with packages to Ukraine and hurting a geopolitical enemy. It’s a win win. And no US Life is lost in the war effort… actually we are getting some 18B worth of equipment produced and shipped directly to Ukraine from Industry, so there is at least some amount of cost going in.
China only show the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this few successful cities and still most of the cities are poorly constructed and pure tofu dregg projects. Chinas infrastructure has 20 year lifespan. It was built to such a poor quality and cheaply that it’s a danger to anyone in it Shanghai subways has been there for more than 40 years and still one of the best subway system on this planet. You should instead criticize how construction workers are underpaid in China, but poor infrastructure quality is something common like 20 years ago. They shot officials who are responsible for garbage infrastructure in the 2000s for Christ sake… Isn’t public transportation funded and handled on a state/local level? Maybe I’m missing something but I don’t think the Federal government has much to do with the subways in New York.
Edit: I just checked, Fed DOES spend on things like the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this New York metro, kind of explains why it’s so shitty. I’ll never understand why I’m living in another state and paying metro workers salary in a city I don’t even visit. Ukraine and Israel are laundry machines for our politicians. As soon as we begin auditing our public servants for their wealth, the more we’d see that nobody really cares about the welfare of any country anywhere. It’s a cash grab. “Chinese infrastructure is the best and this isn’t propaganda at all and definitely an actual depiction of what life is like for all Chinese.” Actual genocide, executions for organs, starvation, poverty is defined at less than 250usd per year, average income is $14,000 per year, pollutes more than every developed country combined
You mean the 2025 Iowa Speedway Triple Header Weekend fastest short track on the planet shirt Also,I will get this „one“ subway? Dawg there are like multiple subway that look amazing to just nice in cities you never heard of in China. Moskow’s subway is also amazing.. At the cost of millions of russian and ukranians lives during the USSR time.. China is also an awful dictatorship that took millions of chineses lives. You have to remember that a lot of today’s western infrastructure is up to 100-200 years old, using the same roads, railways, and subways as were first built in the 1800s or in the case of roads and old settlements; dating back to ancient times. Colonial-era America, and Roman-era Europe/Africa. In new York, the first subway system was opened in 1904 and a lot of it has to be modernised to operate today as does everything humanity has ever built to last. Many of the same railways in the UK built in the 1800s are operational today, and even old Roman roads have been turned into major motorways. In contrast, the first mainland Chinese subway was built in Beijing in 1971 once western engineering and technology started to make its way into cold-war era socialist societies. Naturally, a lot of these subways and major infrastructure works are incredibly more modern and young compared to the infrastructure across the world that predates it by hundreds of thousands of years. It’s natural that today if you wanted to build a subway, of course you would design it to be as modern, flashy, and gaudy as the skyscrapers also being built at the same time.
