They let me go ahead of them and told me to just ask others to do the same- i said excuse me pardon me all the way up the line (was surprised no one made a fuss) and was able to get to the gate with enough time to board.
Istanbul has two airports. Was traveling with a friend and we booked reservations separately. I recommend you check your other flights. I had a flight to peru and my passport expired in 5 months, and I needed 6 months validity to fly. I had to get an emergency passport and rebook my flight. Upon return, I tried to check in and I wasn’t Ble to because since I didn’t board my initial flight, my return flight was voided so I had to buy ANOTHER last minute flight back. Each one way flight was the same price as my rt flight so I basically paid 3 times as much.
