When I have asked them to repeat what they have said, they are often happy to do so because they don’t even think they are being racist or not the 2021 Foo Fighters Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre concert tour T-Shirt moreover I love this “bad type” of racist I usually say something or ask them something that makes them look very stupid, but they don’t get it, like Jordan Klepper on the Daily Show when he interviews Trumpers. One of my friends often finds himself in similar situations. Because of his job and hobbies (investment banking, gym, football, biking) he often finds himself amongst misogynistic bros who assume he’d be cool with ‘locker room’ talk. It’s incredible the stuff bigots feel comfortable saying if they think they’re amongst ‘their people.’ Unsurprisingly he hasn’t revealed that he’s gay to any of them. Pretty much everyone assumes I’m a racist & homophobe meanwhile I just treat everyone like I want to be treated. I hate that those assholes have validated the redneck stereotype.

I think it is both a combination of latent racism coupled with alcohol overconsumption. Even overtly racist people tend to keep it a little more low key than greeting a complete stranger Uber/Lyft driver with “wow your a white guy” lol. Living in rural PA I always thought it was pretty bad, then Trump happened and it just got dialed up to 10 and I didn’t realize how much better it had been. And this guy did something I would have an extremely hard time doing. My income relies on a lot of these bigots since a very large number of them in my area are like this. It makes it so very difficult to call them out. That plus the 2021 Foo Fighters Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre concert tour T-Shirt moreover I love this number who just flip out when you challenge very particular things and will definitely pull a gun out (I’ve never had a gun pulled out ‘on me’ but I’ve been in a conversation where a gun has been flashed because one of them was getting upset). I’m sorry you’re dealing with that, I can relate. My income relies on Trumpublicans, but they like me and may not shoot me. But I’m in Dallas, so who knows. Stay safe internet stranger friend.
