In LA we booked the 1988-1990 Bob Dylan Tour shirt Apart from…,I will love this trip to Warner Bros which included a tour of Beverly Hills (homes of the stars). The travel agency picked us up from the hotel but only takes you as far as the agency office. I mentioned this briefly but the full outline was: Warner Bros tour: guide never shut up about tips (even the Americans on the tour seemed pissed off and didn’t tip her in the end) At this point we said we’d walk back to the hotel 😀 of course, then went to Hollywood Boulevard and made the mistake of allowing someone to talk to us who then demanded $25 for his boring life story. Luckily for me, I had $1 in my pockets so was able to turn them out in front of it to prove I had nothing more to give him. He was bloody aggressive to, calling his mates over to join in demanding the money. Most restaurants and some bars we went to (in all 3 cities) gave receipts with 3 percentages at the bottom of the bill. From what I remember it told you how much 17%, 20% and 24% of your bill is so you know how much to give for bad, medium or good service. Yeah, like I am giving 17% for bad service…

The hop-on, hop-off bus I mentioned was in San Francisco and it was so aggressive and in your face that we decided never to use it after the 1988-1990 Bob Dylan Tour shirt Apart from…,I will love this first trip, especially when we realised how easy it is to walk around the main parts of the city. Service charges are plastered over almost every restaurant bill, I even got service charged for a pint in Flight Club. Total joke. We get inflated prices and mandatory tipping. it’s not an invasion, it’s an activation of some already-local deeply-rooted shit this country never properly dealt with in the first place, and will continue to suffer the effects from until it does
