This week marks the 11 Years 2010 2021 How To Train You Dragon Thank You For The Memories Shirt Additionally,I will love this return to tennis of one Roger Federer—you’ve heard of him, perhaps?—he of the 20 Grand Slam titles and the impossibly elegant moves both on and off the court. After more than a year away from the game due to surgery on both of his knees, Federer resumes play at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha, squaring off against Dan Evans in a round-one match (Federer has been given a bye into the second round). His comeback (scheduled for tomorrow morning) comes at an interesting time: Amidst Federer’s absence from the game, his legendary competitors comprising men’s tennis’s so-called Big Three have drawn even with him in different ways: After winning last year’s French Open, Rafael Nadal has tied Federer’s Grand Slam record—and just yesterday Novak Djokovic broke Federer’s almost preposterous record of 310 total number of weeks ranked No. 1 in the world.Returning after such a long layoff—for someone who has played the game about as well as it’s ever been played—won’t be easy, or instant: He’s planning a slightly lighter-than-usual schedule which includes the French and U.S. Opens but prioritizes Wimbledon in hopes of adding to his already-record eight championships there. But first: Doha. Assuming he shakes the rust off against Evans (Federer’s sometime practice partner), his first real test will likely happen in the quarterfinals, when he could face the 24th-ranked Croatian Borna Coric. After that, it’s likely that only Canadian Denis Shapovalov and fellow Swiss player Dominic Thiem would stand in his way of what would be an incredible comeback title.Doha also sees Federer debuting a new look: His new Uniqlo Game Wear pieces, designed by Christophe Lemaire (who, in addition to designing his own line since 1991, has headed up collections for Lacoste and Hermès, among others), are made from Dry-Ex material, a moisture-wicking fabric which Uniqlo developed using polyester fibers from recycled plastic bottles.Like the changes in Federer’s game throughout his storied career, the look is an evolution, not a revolution. “We moved around the placement of the seams for easier movement and added mesh panels for enhanced breathability,” Federer says, before noting how happy he is about Uniqlo’s ability to turn reclaimed plastic bottles into comfortable and functional activewear. “And after being away from competitive tennis for over a year, I’m looking forward to wearing these new items—and am very excited to make my return to the sport I love.”It seems his comeback was so anticipated that his new collection, below, is all but sold out online. Though the items can still be found at several Uniqlo locations, online inventories will soon be replenished. (The good news is that you can get notified as soon as the tennis goods are back in stock.)

The two big stories at this year’s Australian Open thus far? First, that the 11 Years 2010 2021 How To Train You Dragon Thank You For The Memories Shirt Additionally,I will love this tournament happened at all—much less with an audience—but after some complicated quarantines, the tennis has gone off without a hitch. Well, one: After a COVID-19 outbreak at one of the quarantine hotels, the crowds were banned from the stands for five days. They returned just in time to witness the big on-court story thus far: Tenth-seeded Serena Williams—having fought her way to the semifinals, defeating second-seeded Simona Halep along the way—being rather handily dispatched by third-seeded Naomi Osaka, 6-3, 6-4. Williams seemed to put a little something extra into her on-court congratulations to Osaka, and later wept at the post-match press conference before quickly exiting the stage, fueling speculation by more than a few that this might be her final turn in Oz.Clearly, that’ll be up to Williams: While Osaka’s victory might seem like a passing of the baton in retrospect, in real time, Williams, at least intermittently, appeared to be in it to win it, but her inability to pounce on Osaka’s rather shaky service game, combined with Osaka’s trifecta of superior movement, ridiculously angled shots, and a newly emergent mental calm and strength, all added up to a tidal wave with which Williams simply wasn’t able to contend.Which brings us to tomorrow’s women’s final (at 3:30 a.m. ET on ESPN for the hardest of core, or watch the rebroadcast at 8 a.m. on ESPN2), in which Osaka, 23, will square off against American Jennifer Brady, seeded 22nd, who fought off 25th-seed Karolína Muchová in the other semifinal. With both players a bit nervous and tentative, each of them fighting to reach their first-ever Grand Slam final, it wasn’t the prettiest of matches—particularly coming as it did directly after the Williams-Osaka showdown—but Brady, 25, gutted out a tough three-set victory (including finishing an epic final game in which, at one point, she sunk to her knees beaming at her coaches, thinking she’d won, before one of them pointed out that her own shot had been called long).Just because you likely haven’t heard much about Brady, though, doesn’t mean she isn’t bringing some serious experience to this match: She reached the quarters at last year’s U.S. Open—before being defeated by none other than Naomi Osaka in three hard-fought sets in what was dubbed by many tennis writers as the match of the season. She’s beaten Osaka before—but not recently, and not at a major. What does Osaka bring to her fourth Grand Slam final (her second in Australia)? Just the mere fact that every single time she’s made it as far as the quarterfinals at any major tournament, she has never lost. Which would seem to make this one easy to call: Either Osaka brings home a fourth major—or Brady somehow pulls off the biggest upset in recent tennis history. We’re betting on the former (but always rooting for the possibility of the latter). As for the men (again live at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday on ESPN or an 8 a.m. rebroadcast on ESPN2), the number-one seed Novak Djokovic, 33, would seem to have had a charmed path to his ninth title at Melbourne Park—he won each of the previous eight—though only two of his matches leading up to this have been straight-set victories (the 27th seed American Taylor Fritz took him to an exhaustive five sets in the third round). But he’ll be facing off against fourth-seeded Daniil Medvedev, who’s 25 and playing lights-out tennis (he ended last season by beating Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Dominic Thiem en route to the ATP Finals championship and has swept all but one match thus far in Australia in straight sets). Of the seven matches they’ve played against one another, Djokovic has won four, Medvedev three. Give Djokovic the advantage on experience, mental discipline, and shotmaking canniness, and the sheer will to win—but if Medvedev is ever going to ride a hot streak to his first Grand Slam title, this is as good a chance as he’s likely to get. In the end, this will likely come down to nerves and gamesmanship.
